I Loved Everything About This Book. I am obsessed with spiritual law and I am taking my time reading this book as not to get things jumbled in my head. So far I am still on the game of life part; which I have ready several times as to get a better understanding of it. I tell you no lie. This book has help me out tremendously with my spoken words and I have written down and have done many affirmation that I truly belive in. This book has totally change my life for the better. As it is my devine right! Miracles Shall Follow Miracles and Wonders Shall Never Cease.

I’ve given this book to at least 30 people over the past 20 years. It’s my go to. Highly recommend.

About 10 years ago a friend recommended this book to me and since then it has become my most treasured book and I refer to it actually more often than the bible, because Florence Scovel Schinn Florence was able to so eloquently decipher the wisdom from the bible and translate it into help for everyday life and circumstances. I am forever thankful to that friend for this recommendation. I believe Florence must have been one of the 1st if not the 1st self help guru, because these writings are from the 1800's and are timeless!She has so many positive affirmations that have helped me through out the years.. and reading her words of wisdom is like drinking a long awaited glass of water after being in the desert with no liquid for a day! Really refreshing!!Every page, every paragragh is filled with such knowledge and its very interesting to read the personal accounts of how she has helped people with the very affirmations that she offers in the book. There are so many of her affirmations that I love, but one of my favorite and simple ones are: "Happy Surprises Come to Me each Day! I look with Wonder at that which is Before Me!"... When I'm looking to have a great day or maybe a pleasant surprise, this is one of the affirmations that I say over and over in my head.. and so far so good!:)

I discovered her when a self help site featured her writings.Florence, in her writing is a very conscious, and enlightened woman who uses metaphor to great effect. This is four books in one volume, and its value way exceeds the price.Many of her examples are derived from the Bible, and adapted to our personal situations. One such case is blowing down the walls of Jericho. The walls of Jericho represent our fears which need to be dissolved. I feel like she opened up my mind with some of these metaphors, and I nderstood them in a new way.She is a metaphysical writer, and her wisdom, and sage advice permeates. One piece of advice is not to talk to everyone about your business, and plans. This, I found helpful because I had made the mistake of talking about it to the wrong person. The world is full of wet blanket people who will instil doubt in your goals. Doubt divides the path.Her writing style is fascinating and never dull, and reminds me a little of Napoleon Hill. I hope you found this review helpful.One of the many stories in this book is the inner meaning of Snow White, and Ali Baba.The only caveat in this book is, if you are resistant to the Bible, you may not like this book so much, as it does have a strong spiritual element.There are also many affirmations used throughout this book. My favorite one is: That which I seek is also seeking me.I whole heartedly recommend this book.

Wonderful little reader with great insights. It has helped me out repeatedly. It deals in positive thinking, new age thought, and being able to live to your highest potential in a way that is not intimidating or threatening. For example, the first sentence of the book states, "Most people think life is a battle. Life is not a battle, life is a game." And that sums up the book in a sentence. Not knowing this information will bring you down. Whether or not you agree with it, it is worth knowing, especially if you consider yourself a student of philosophy. Many, many great insights that deal in the power of your mind to create your reality. Given, there are many examples that seem somewhat ridiculous, but this was written in a different time. The insights of Florence are still as relevant as ever, if not more so. This is a great book to give you a restart, kickstart your new habits, or otherwise help you accomplish anything you want to do and live without fear in total joy.

Love this book, when I am having a bad day, I open it and read . The great thing about it is you can start anywhere, it is a compellation of stories that will change the way you look at things. The affirmations are fantastic and plentiful. Love the book, Love Florence Scovel Shinn. I give this book as a gift for every occasion.

Florence Shinn is not as well known as she should be. She was an American artist, Metaphysics teacher and author, who lived from 1871-1940.The four books contained in this collection are her best and are full of profound wisdom that bears reading and re-reading. They also have a remarkable and rare property: dipping into them at random in times of need, very often turns up just the truth or solution that you require.She had a wonderful way with words, generating many memorable quotations:"If one asks for success and prepares for failure, he will get the situation he has prepared for.""Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not explain, but simply points the way.""Giving opens the way to receiving.""We cannot always control our thoughts, but we can control our words, and repetition impresses the subconscious, and we are then master of the situation.""The game of life is a game of boomerangs. Our thoughts, deeds and words return to us sooner or later with astounding accuracy."Her writing style is a little archaic, but paradoxially it makes her words sink in even more, and the perceptive truths in these books are both timeless and modern.I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in personal or spiritual growth, and to anyone interested in finding, fulfilling and exceeding their potential.

Depending on your frame of mind at the time of reading this book,and on your religious beliefs,the book offers a positive outlook on life and the need for faith in a power greater than oneself. It is an old theme and can give comfort. It also is food for thought and a basis for in depth discussion with others of opposing outlooks.

This book can only be described as life changing. It should be taught in schools as a positive way to having the life you were born to have. One filled with joy and happiness. For me this book marked a turning point and brought together several issues and questions I had been struggling with for a long time. Having been through two hellish years, I am now more at peace with myself and can firmly leave behind the traumas of the past. And it's contagious. The moment I started practicing her teachings, life got sweeter not just for me but for those close to me. Everything shifted.if this book comes into your hands, it will be because it was meant to at that moment, and I assure you, you will find it difficult to put down.

This book literally changed my life about 15 years ago and I always have a copy close to hand. It totally clicked with me and changed the way I though about myself and life - no exaggeration. It's one I return to again and again and I've given it to like-minded friends who've also loved it. The Game of Life and How to Play it is the one to read, if you're only going to read one. Very short, you could easily do it in 2 hours, I'd say. Definitely food for thought, at the very least. It was my first book of this kind, I've gone on to read so many more, but this is the one that spoke most to me.
