Derby Laces CORE Narrow 6mm Waxed Lace for Figure Skates, Roller Skates, Boots, and Regular Shoes

The thickness of the laces are perfect. The color is awesome. They seem to be very sturdy laces that actually stay tied.

Just what I was looking for: right color, width & length. They are well made and soft. I'm very happy with my purchase. Would buy again and recommend. They even put a free cool sticker in the bag. Awesome Seller!

Ordered the 120 inch in Pomegranate.I love these laces finally able to properly lace my well loved knee high Doc's!The boots have 20 pairs of eyelets. The original laces that came with the boots were 92 inches and they were a little too short. I was never able to comfortably lace the last two sets of holes. The 120 inch are just a tad too long, so in the future I will order the 108s. For years I have had trouble finding laces long enough, and just ended up making my own. I have loved and worn these boots since 1995...lol!The pomegranate color is more of a dusty pink mauve color. In the listing photo they looked a little more like a muted purple. I'm not a huge fan of pink, but I'm stoked none the less.The laces are well made and feel like they will last until Tank Girl is roaming the post apocalyptic waste. They allow for tight lacing without a bunch of stretch or deformation and they stay tied.I just ordered another pair in sour cherry spark (so fun!), and I'm sure I will be purchasing in other colors and lengths. I have my eye on the black rainbow as well.... ;)

Bright colors

I know that this brand is generally for roller skates and blades and wasn’t sure how it would translate to figure skates, but oh my gosh, I’m never using anything else in my skates again. I have Edea chorus boots and I have typically just used the Edea brand laces. But these stay where I put them, and they slide easily when I pull them out; the wax coating is great. And as an adult just skating for fun, I love the variety of colors.

(Wife): I bought 96" Derby Core laces in two colors: hot pink and grape. They are waxed laces.The Derby Core laces are fairly strong; but if you skate in the street / on rough asphalt and fall, like other laces, your laces could get some abrasion from a fall. They still seem more durable than softer laces.My skate setup is a pair of Sure Grip Fames with outdoor wheels, The laces they came with were softer than the Derby Core laces. I'm pretty convinced that I made the right call in switching to Derby Core laces - both for likely increased durability vs. the stock laces and adding a fun splash of color! The 96" length was also a good bit longer than the stock laces, which was helpful to me.At first, I did run into some trouble keeping the laces tied - especially when practicing forward toe stop braking on asphalt and some basic tricks on asphalt (which sometimes led to falls).Personally, I found that lacing my laces with much smaller loops than in the picture - frankly, roping them around the back of my high-tops once or twice - actually seemed to help my laces come undone less often on the street. A double-knot might help, too - and using a braking method other than a toe stop skating forward, such as a plow stop or drag stop (aka a t-stop - although I find it more challenging to do on quads than on inlines).I am very glad I bought two colors, because it makes telling apart the left / right skates soooo much easier! I also love the look. Way less boring than just white, imo. ; )Another thought: if you like to lace one part of your skate tighter than another, you could possibly get much shorter lengths and use two shorter laces per skate - at least, if your skates are high tops. I'm a noob, so still trying to figure out the best lacing style for my needs.Hoping that helps. = )

Found these laces / brand only last week. Decided to order a pair to see how they function. Could not be more satisfied. This is a premium product. Nice sturdy feel to them and the light wax coating helps keep them tied. Wore them today on my Riedell Figure Skates during public skate session. Excellent performance. Easy to tie and comfortable on hands when pulling them up tight. Very satisfied. I have ordered another pair in a different color as backup / spare.
