I ordered medium because that's what my heeler wears in cloth muzzles, it is a Lil big but I will order again a smaller one and donate this one to someone in need.I also lent it to try on my BFFs dog and she likes it too, so I sent her a link to get one which she'll need 1 size down too.My dog can comfortably pant to cool herself and drink water easily and properly.She even can take small snacks as well.She sat at attention as always and had no problem receiving this new muzzle.What's even better, it suits a Heeler head perfectly, heeler skulls an necks are built so differently they easily can slip out of puzzles just by alignment and use their paw to hold and pull. Not this one!!I am pleased and relieved.The muzzle is soft and maleable yet sturdy an firm.It has Highly adjustable straps! Top and bottom strap are good, somewhat confusing at first but i understand how to operate it after a minute.The weight is absolutely perfect 👌 it is there but comfortable for my dog.The appearance is excellent and hopefully backs people Off of my heeler who is an early retired reactive working breed who's going blind at 5 yro. This will help her stay safe from questionable people.

I like the durability of this muzzle. There just doesn't seem to be very much length for the strap that goes between the ears and eyes. My dog can still get it off with minimal effort, but we're training her to enjoy wearing it and it's working out well. I took one star off because despite measuring my dog's nose and neck multiple times before purchase, the muzzle is still JUST a little bit too small. Thankfully loosening the straps a little solves the problem but it makes it easier for her to remove it. I do like that she can pant and drink with it on, but it prevents her from barking and biting.

This is a great quality muzzle as long as you were only using it in public! This is not a muzzle meant to be put on your dog while you are not supervising!My Great Dane is very dog aggressive he cannot be around other dogs without attack this muzzle is a hard plastic not very flexible which is great in case he attacks. The only problem is the extra large (size 5) so it does not fit! We have to return it and buy a different brand that has a size 6.His siter on the other hand. I live in a city that pitbulls are not 100% legal as of yet so we must keep her on a muzzle even though she is the sweetest thing in the world. People fear my pitty more then my Dane and it should be the other way around. But I follow the laws because I don't want my girl taken from me. Her muzzle fits great it is a medium (size 3) she has plenty of room, her nose is not smashed and she is comfortable using it.

The muzzle itself is good. It is flexible and comfortable. We had no problem with it fitting. Unfortunately, the buckle is cheap plastic and pulls apart easily making it unsafe and not useful. It is also complicated to adjust. The strap has to be threaded through the center strap or it will just pull out and the muzzle will fall off. Maybe I received a defective one but I cannot find a way to contact the seller.Update: the seller contacted me through Amazon and sent a replacement muzzle. The new muzzle is great and has no problem with the buckle. I found that the literature provided has a contact email so keep that in case you need it. The adjustment issue is still there with the back strap having to go through the center strap buckle but that doesn’t impact the muzzle and its usefulness. It should be 4 stars with of the initial issue but I’m giving it 5 stars because of the great customer service.

Photos for one German Shepherd. Our other is 10 pounds larger but the muzzle fits him well too.I have two German Shepherds, both who need to be muzzled when we visit the vet. The first German Shepherd is just a bit mouthy and I normally use a simple leather muzzle for him. However, our new German Shepherd (who we adopted) has a history of not liking the vet per his patient medical records. I put on this new muzzle just as a precaution.I was able to see this muzzle in action after the vet bent down to assess him and he actively lunged and aggressively snapped at her multiple times. She felt safe and barely flinched because of this muzzle. He is able to comfortably breathe (minimal panting and drooling) and he can still open his mouth a little bit. I was very happy to have bought this muzzle for him. We have used it for our other German Shepherd as a precaution and he also seems comfortable in it.I was looking forward to coming home after the vet to give a first hand experience review on how well the muzzle worked. I only gave 4 stars for sturdiness because it felt a little flimsy when I first bought it and the straps could be sturdier but I was happy that it held up well. I recommend this muzzle for sure.

I don't frequently leave negative reviews at all I try not to be a negative person but in this instant product failed immediately.... The shipping was fast the plastic used seems to be of high quality the plastic used seems to be of a high quality! But the design is lacking my German Shepherd mix had it off within 5 minutes of getting it adjusted correctly I measured person out before ordering referred to the guide for sizing adjusted it put it on her and in minutes she had used her paws to put claws in the hole and loosen the strap it was like great mom I did it do you have another puzzle for me! Moments after her dismantle my other dog followed suite and had it off before I was able to get the rest of hers off he was gentler in his dismantle but nonetheless, this may be great for some dogs but if you have mildly intelligent dogs like Bernese mountain/Collie or German shepherds/ lab mix this is not for them!!! (They looked so happy they had completed the puzzle so quickly they sat waiting for there treat 😩) I bought them because I wanted something humane but that also assisted in this destructive chewing when unsupervised as an alternative to having to crate them.

As you can see, my girl is not very happy with being muzzled. She just looks so pitiful! But it's her own fault. She has a bad habit of lashing out at the cats and other dogs. We were keeping our son's dog while he went to visit family with his girlfriend, and our girl was not happy with her being in the house. She tried to go after her as soon as she saw her. Luckily I had ordered the muzzle ahead of time because of past behavior even around dogs she has been around quite a lot. She has injured two of our cats, and my in-laws dog even though we've worked with her and worked on her behavior since we rescued her. Now it could have something to do with her prior owners, but I know she was around cats and dogs at her prior home and got along with them. That fact had a lot to do with us taking her in to our home with our other animals. Most times she's okay, but she has her moments. So knowing how she is, I wanted to be sure I could control her acting out when I needed to, hence getting this muzzle. She can drink in it, and take small treats. It is just a tad small in the length on her snout, but I went with the recommended size for her breed. It doesn't hurt her or anything like that, I would just prefer a tad more room for it to not sit against her nose. Though if she doesn't try to get it off by rubbing her face along the ground and grabbing at it with her paws, it will stay where it isn't directly against her nose. She settles right down once it's on too, which I'm glad of. She is well aware of when she's doing wrong, and is a master at the poor me face!! Almost makes you feel bad for putting it on her, or fussing at her when she does bad things, I'm sure many others can relate to the tootsie roll eyes and the poor me faces!!! I'm glad that is has worked for her. She has managed to get it off a couple of times, but once I tightened the strap just a little bit she hasn't been able to get it off since so that's good! If your pup is aggressive I'd recommend a muzzle, and this one has worked well for us. Our girl is a German Shepherd - Blue Heeler mix. Hope this helps someone to decide! Be well
