I bought this for my husbands 30th birthday last year and I can honestly say it has been used every singe day!! Wether it be cutting open packaging, cable ties or tightening screws. Literally anything, it is so versatile. I'm so happy, its the best present I've ever got him.

Good quality but over priced

I have bought a few Leatherman products, and apart from the first, a micro, they have been disappointing. The Quality control is very poor IMO, when compared with any of their competition: Gerber, Victorinox etc. The other companies sell equally good products at lower prices with much better quality control. The Surge is nice and chunky, but VERY heavy. The black coating was poor on mine. For the first week or two, would leave my hands black as the coating came off. The main blade has some play in it when locked so doesn't feel totally secure (the serrated blade locks securely) The steel seems fairly soft, the smaller flat head screw driver literally died on the second task I tried to use it for - just not the appropriate steel for the job, no hardening or coating afaict (that you would expect and get even on a very cheap shop brand screwdriver) On the upside, the scissors are good, the holster is decent quality, and the diamond side of the file is also good. I also like the bit holder, but at these prices it's shameful that they don't supply a set of bits with the tool - that's an extra £30, and an extended bit holder is another £25 on top of that... I do like the design, it's a desirable gadget, but some attention to detail would make a huge difference. I really wish they had included a second bit holder instead of those useless soft flathead drivers And the price is preposterous. When I bought my one it was a bit under £100, now the same tool is £170. Unbelievable. Should be £50, or maybe £60 if they improve the QC.

Best and largest EDC Till date nothing comes close to this. The jaws fit better than Knipex pliers. But quite pricey. Should have been 14k max. The wood saw can be replaced with a T-shank metal saw. I would like to buy the Leatherman MUT too !!

après plusieurs mois d'usure comme homme de maintenance,je travail je vais des réparation et des rénovations dans un immeuble de 500 porte,cette outils est plus qu'efficace,avec les embouts de tournevis à 40$ c'était un peu un petit luxe que je m'offrais,mais c'est un très bonne outils à avoir à sa ceinture,on sent juste au poids que c'est de qualité.j'ai aussi une lampe de poche nitecore p10ix,les deux sont asser dispendieux mais ultra durable et efficace.Tu as l'air d'un pro quand tu t'en sert.100%

Perfetto in ogni occasione! Lo uso da un anno circa e usandolo almeno 5 volte a settimana per lavoro non perde ne precisione ne fluidità! Consigliato a chiunque!
