I like this watch very much. High quality finish, great design, keeps the time very well.

Absolutely amazing timepiece, the only thing that I'm not fond of is the sound of the rotor.

After taking delivery of my Max Bill I have unfortunately scratched the face of the watch and I reached out to Junghans on their service email specified on their website, plus twitter. After requesting a response three times and tweeting on two different days, ZERO RESPONSE. Absolutely pathetic to lay out the hard earned cash with no after sales support whatsoever. I feel like I've been mislead.

Of the available Max Bill variants I think this design – which lacks numerals, a date window and other complications – is the most elegant. It's a truly beautiful piece; all the more so in person, since most photographs don't capture the way the domed crystal contours smoothly into the case.The scratch resistant coating on the crystal is a concern for some: it means you can't use polishing products like polyWatch without damaging the coating. However I've found the coating to be very successful, and so no need to use polishing products. At least twice I've accidentally scraped the crystal and been able to buff out the "scratch" easily with my thumb.Another common niggle is the noisy movement, and to some extent I agree. The self-winding mechanism is relatively loud, and sounds odd compared to my Omega. That said, I haven't found it particularly distracting or annoying.What is a bit annoying is that, apparently, despite this being a no-date model, Junghans haven't bothered to remove the date mechanism from the movement. This doesn't hurt the watch's performance at all but, given it's hardly a cheap watch, it's a shame Junghans didn't pay a little more attention to detail.Anyway, it's a beautiful and well-made design classic which is durable and accurate enough for daily wear. Looks great on a brown strap.

Diese Uhr ist wirklich schön. Gerade wenn ich bedenke, dass das Design über 40 Jahre alt ist und ich als U40 diese Uhr wirklich gerne trage. Sie ist jeden Euro Wert würde ich fast sagen. Das Design samt Plexiglas ist einfach stimmig.

A high-quality, elegant watch that absolutely met expectations. By modern standards it is not a giant wristwatch, but it=s significantly larger than the more traditional size men's watch it is replacing. It shows every sign of being built to the highest standards. It has been bought, after a lot of thought and research, to be my only. everyday watch rather than a fashion item, and I am happy that i have made a decision I will be happy with in 10 years time.

Tolle stilvolle Uhr, gute Verarbeitung und sehr ganggenau (1 - 2 Sekunden/Tag). Leider nicht wirklich wasserdicht, was ich aber vorher wusste

Ich habe die Max Bill Herrenarmbanduhr als Handaufzugvariante schon seit vielen Jahren und bin immer noch begeistert von der schlichten funktionalen Eleganz. Als jetzt aufgrund einer anstehenden Überholung mit Reparatur ein höherer Kostenvoranschlag ins Haus flatterte, war dies ein überaus willkommender Anlaß, mir das neuere Automatikmodell zuzulegen. Endlich nicht mehr daran denke, jeden Morgen die Uhr aufzuziehen!Die Ernüchterung war allerdings groß, als die neue Uhr eintraf: Von außen betrachtet trägt das Automatikmodell deutlich dicker auf als die Handaufzug, sie wiegt auch entsprechend mehr. Störend empfand ich zudem die Geräusche des automatischen Aufzugs: Es hörte sich an, als ob innen eine kleine Metallkugel in einer Metallschiene kreisförmig ihre Bahnen zieht.Insgesamt war ich enttäuscht und habe die Max Bill Automatik zurückgeschickt, die Abwicklung klappte wie immer problkemlos bei amazon. Inwzischen habe ich meine alte Max Bill Handaufzug vom Uhrmacher zurück und bin trotz 230 Euro Reparaturkosten überglücklich!Mein Fazit: Tolle Uhr, aber für mich nur ohne Automatik. daher ziehe ich für jeden subjektiven Mangel je einen Stern ab.
