Nice
Good solid hammer, nice weight behind it but would like to have had maybe 5mm more for twisting joists, just i bit too tight IMO

It’s a big hammer what else
Estwing are great hammers

Its large
Brought this for lifting floorboards and generally smacking things about, but it is probably the best hammer I have ever swung. I have 3 other Estwing hammers and 37 years as a builder.

Terrible hammer, handle coming off after 4 months
This hammer is absolutely terrible! I am a site joiner and my 1st estwing hammer lasted me around 10 years and was only replaced because it was stolen, this hammer has lasted 4 months! When I first received the hammer I actually quite liked it, it felt quality and a nice weight but the first issue was with the wing on the shaft, it sounds like a good idea to be able to use it to lever 3x2 timbers but in reality you very seldom use this feature but if you use a belt loop or clip to hold your hammer it snags on the loop each and every time you take the hammer out of the loop so it is far more of a hindrance then a help! Second issue which is only minor for me but worth mentioning the hammer is painted which chips off on day one making the hammer look needlessly old and tatty in no time. Third issue is that the handle is symmetrical so you find every now and again you strike with the claw side instead of the hammer head because you have inadvertently reach for the hammer the wrong way round and the feeling of the grip doesn't give any indication, again not a massive issue but it is something I have not done with previous hammers as you get a feel with the grip when holding it. Fourth issue is that the hammer makes an annoying high pitch ringing sound on every strike! Fifth issue is the grip has come loose working its way off the shaft and what makes this even more annoying is that the first time I didn't realise and due to the extra length I miss judged my aim and the hammer glanced off the nail head and struck my thumb! So all in all very dissatisfied with this product. It is a hammer, how can they get such a simple thing so wrong!! It is supposed to be a flagship model from a top brand which I have praised in the past but this hammer is just annoying and not built to last!

Poor quality
Well I’ve used estwing hammers all my life and know the handles don’t last forever but this one has gone after 6 months of owning it but only 4 months of use I think there quality is starting to drop
