Auto Meter 6945 Cobalt Digital 2-1/16" 0-2000 F Pyrometer E.G.T. (Exhaust Gas Temperature)

Installing an EGT gauge is a bit more difficult than installing a temperature gauge, because you have to drill a hole in your exhaust manifold and then (attempt to) tap the hole for a 1/8" NPT thread. I failed utterly in my attempt to tap the hole, so instead I enlarged it and used the clamp method of installing the pyro probe. But that works great, and it isn't even leaking exhaust, to my surprise.The gauge does exactly what I needed -- tell me how hot my exhaust is getting -- and was pretty easy to install. I especially like how when you turn on the headlights, the numbers dim and the "EGT" label lights up. Nice touch. Autometer is right about the numbers not changing too quickly, either -- it's not distracting at all while driving.

This is a great. Gauge. So far I have had no problems. I will be looking forward o buying more gauges like this one

Gave this to my son as a gift, he says it works great and very helpful

I install it and it is working fine. But I got one issue with the lights. When you tried to dim the light is turning off everything.

USING AS A TUNING TOOL, FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY, EASY INSTALL

Liked the thermocoupler but don’t like the brightness (or lack of) the numbers.
