Review: Absolute Garbage - Upon receipt, I was initially worried as it felt very cheap, being all made out of plastic. I installed it into two barrels to see how it worked, and wasn't very impressed by the accuracy. One barrel a little below half and the other had about 25% left, and it showed both as empty (one was gasoline and one diesel). I left it in the gasoline barrel for a few weeks and went to use that barrel today and the gauge showed "full". I unscrewed the unit from the barrel and found that the float had come apart - there was only the top of it left attached to the string. Without the weight of the float, it had retracted fully, showing the barrel was full. Now there are pieces of a float I'm going to have to get out of my fuel barrel... And has anyone use this on the B side of closed cell foam(polyol resin)?** A: Not really which is kinda stupid. We use it for our oil drums and always have issues with venting, eventually we just removed it because it was more trouble then it’s worth. **Q: is the gauge water tight to be installed in the utside ? I would hate to get condensation and not be able to read it....** A: No It is not water tight. Not for outdoor use. **Q: where is it madE?** A: Probably china **Q: do you have a version that will fit on the 2'' port** A: Check your 2” port cap, some of them have a 3/4” threaded hole in the middle. You’ll have to punch out or cut the hole, but this fit perfectly in mine.
