Not Quite Sure If I Was Supposed To Be Reading The Story Or Collecting Clues.... Or Both Probably
Still can't get my head around the entire concept. My rating was based on the story, which was okay. Written in a unique way but the way it was written is probably meant to give us clues to the prize. I kept on trying to find clues all of the time which probably detracted from the story. 3 stars for now but I may re-rate at a later date when I understand the whole "End Game World" a bit more.

Brilliant
Stunning style, a bit hard to keep track of though. I immediately got engrossed and couldn't stop, 12 different factions battling it out across the globe, exactly my thing. The best book I have ever read. It has a brilliant sense of humour to add to the perfect mix of combat description, comedy, spirituality, interesting locations and great character, each one you thought was a bad@#! Or a annoying idiot who you wanted to punch in the face. Bit of swearing though, so not exactly a child friendly book, but I'm eleven and if your mature enough then your fine. Can't wait for book 2 on kindle and the film but they'll probably miss bits out.

Apart from the intrigue of trying to decipher the puzzles this book has little appeal. Unbelievable characters, not much of a plot and no real ending. I guess millions will be sold to people hoping to solve the puzzles and win the gold, but as a book for reading it just doesn't cut it. I won't be wasting my money on the follow ups.

fantastic, un putdownable
I love James Frey's books and although this is a totally different genre his writing hooks you in and takes you on a ride. I would 100% recommend this book.

Enjoyed it!
Fab book will not disappoint. Enjoyed it from cover to cover. Having withdrawal symptoms after reading two books straight after each other. Can't believe I have to wait till October for the final book. Still could be worse. Characters and plot nicely developed. Good read.
