Less expensive than the other brand. Very easy to use. We used a cushion tape first and then applied this over it. Has kept our mast to deck joint water tight! Best to have 2 people to install so you can stretch the tape evenly as it’s wrapped around the mast. Can’t confirm the UV yet. Nice and white now!

This tape is nice, easy to apply and has a clean look around the bottom of my mast.

There are too many things attached at the base of my mast to be able to use this tape. I tried to make it work. But, it leaked worse than before. If your mast base is not cluttered, this product would probably work well.

We purchased this tape for a boot for for sailboat mast. It went on easily and looks great.

Works great and super easy to apply. Mast boot now sealed up. Shall see how long it lasts. But even it only lasts a few seasons it’s well worth the price.

I have used similar rigging tape in the past, but narrower. I have only had it on the mast for a couple of weeks, so we'll see how it holds up over the long haul. This sticks to itself best when stretched, and typical of this type of tape, the end is coming up because it is difficult to stretch that part (because you are holding it to stretch the rest). Before applying the tape, I installed a silicone mast wedge and caulked around it. With this tape, everything is water tight (and we have gotten a lot of rain over the last couple of weeks).

I was expecting a water tight. with no leaks when i replace my old tape with this stuff. First foot did not adhered to mast as it was supposed to do. No problem when we got to it we cut the first foot off and all seem ok. Everything look good until first big water down pour of heavy rain and it was leaking all over the place. I now plan to remove this tape and go back to the old reliable black heavy adhesive tape. I have a sunbrella boot that protects against UV.

This stuff is amazing. I would highly recommend and purchased more in other sizes.

Good kit

Does a great job but be careful. It sticks to itself once applied and is almost impossible to separate. Have a plan. Stick to the plan.
