For the price, I was impressed with the amount and quality of information contained. Also, the book was not a sales ad for over priced merchandise covered just to make money for someone. This is a good entry level piece on being prepared. I have read a lot on this subject and not a novice, but I picked up several ideas that could make a difference between comfortable survival of the non survival alternative .

I was fascinated by the Dirt Cheap Valuable Prepping book. So many things that I never would have thought about had I not read it. I would highly recommend downloading this book if you are just thinking about being a prepper, heck even if you are not thinking of it, this might change your mind...better to be prepared than not. Cal Wilson has certainly enlightened me, I mean who would have ever thought to save your dryer lent? It can be used to start fires...really? Had no idea. Great read...get it now!

Probably one of the most realistic books I've read on the subject of prepping. Nice to see someone leave Hollywood right at the door and talk about this subject in a realistic way. The way things are going in this world these days, I highly encourage anyone who wants to take care of themselves and their families when (God forbid) if you know what really hits the fan, at least you'll know what to do. A great read and a must have for pretty much all of us.

I am new to prepping and have read many books some good and some ridiculous. This book has so much well thought out information and suggestions of what to prep which are doable. This book is a valuable tool for peppers starting out. He also gives you lots of references to other peppers and websites!

Good deal of information, however I was a little disappointed in the ambiguous terms used when describing the shelf life of time some products and items could be good for. Yes nearly all the information could be found with some internet research but this book is able to get you thinking and moving in the right direction and in some areas you may not have considered previously especially if you are new to "prepping".

Great little guide that is current for 2017...handy tips and lists of products that are affordable and available at the local big mart. Whole family found it very easy to read and hopefully recall if disaster ever strikes.

Good book, and I enjoyed. But honestly, what it contained was just good common sense. Nevertheless, common sense isn't as common as it used to be. I think young Preppers would do well to read this... older folks, not so much.

This is a good guide to prepare for minor and major events. I had no idea about lack of water, food and utilities prior to Hurricane Katrina. Everyone needs to have some basic knowledge about survival in preparation for natural and man made disasters. This guide has a lot of content and information that regarding ways to be prepared. Great for anyone to read!

Just don't read it on a kindle app with your apple device horizontal. It really messes up the formatting. Being written for Americans, there's a lot of conversions for the rest of the world to do, ad even though we Canucks have Walmart and Costco, chances are the great things he mentions aren't available up here.

Although I have been prepping for a few years, this book gave me a few new ideas and reasons to keep my eyes open for practical but valuable resources. Good read.
