Hedgehogs (Nocturnal Animals) Paperback – February 1, 2011

I expected this book to present more facts about hedgehogs, but it was very short. My daughter loved the photos as did I, but each page seemed to contain only a couple sentences. The font size was big too, so it didn't seem to contain a lot of facts about such a cute little critter. It left me wanting to learn more about these animals since there wasn't a lot of detail. All in all, a bit pricey for a short but cute book.

Although hedgehogs aren't found in the USA it's a good book to teach kids about animals and life as a whole. When kids learn about animals and how they must live to stay alive it gives children a chance to respect life as a whole. I recommend reading about all kinds of animals and critters to kids and this is a good place to start.

I purchased this book for my 6 year old grandson who loves hedgehogs, and it was a big hit. Excellent pictures and information. Definitely recommended.

Used this book for a project on Hedgehogs I was doing with a group of 5 year old children. Excellent resource for the age group.

Very disappointed to receive this through the post for my 8 year old - more of a leaflet than a book. There are 9 pages of writing, each page containing 2 sentences, and 9 pictures of hedgehogs. The information relayed has no depth - see photo

My granddaughter loved this, and given the near total disappearance of hedgehogs locally, it is heartwarming to see our little ones motivated to try snd help, they used this alongside the hedgehog hoise, which actually works.

Just what I wanted. I researched the book I needed and found it cheapest here! Help your child learn about animals in your garden.
