Wrong base pad make isolation ineffective.
When it comes to isolating speakers what matters most of the smallest contact area between floor and speaker. That is why spikes like these should be one of best options.Well, not always.These spikes however although looking shiny and sturdy have been paired with base pads which makes contact area large thus sound isolation ineffective. This is due to cone shaped center recess area od the pad matching exactly cone shaped spike surface.So in essence instead of point sized contact area between spike and the pad you end up with 3/8in post which will transfer vibrations back and forth between your speaker and the floor.That is not isolation, it's placebo.

I have heavy floor speakers To install on my speakers I had.to be a little creative I.drilled small holes to secure the spikes. For lighter speakers double sided tape should do the trick. Good quality for price worth a try
