Apple iPhone 6 Plus Original Ballistic Tough Jacket Rugged Case, Black

This is the second Ballistic case my husband and I bought for this phone (iPhone 6s plus). It was my phone while I was working as a cruise line bus operator. This case has protected my phone 100%. I have repeatedly popped it out of the holster while throwing luggage into the luggage bays, and several times it has hit on the corner and bounced about 2 feet off of the ground. Customers cringe, but I simply pick it up and pop it back into the holster. Not one scratch or crack on the case or screen, and we have had these phones for years.

I wish it came in more colors than the black model and the white model...I wanted another red one or orange. Still the best case for the money out there..great protective corners and the opening for the headphones is big enough for all my accessories...just want more color options but I doubt that will happen since this is not the "latest" I phone....please remember that not everyone can afford the Newest phone so keep the still current phone protectors current even with older models!!

Seems solid, but bigger than I expected.

I am a return customer on Ballistic phone cases. What I like most about them are the rubbery like edges that help protect the phone. I also usually like the designs, especially the clear ones.This black one is for my daughter's phone. It is different than my case because it has two pieces: the rubbery full case and also a plastic clasp over piece. It seems good and we are happy with it.

Phone cover is very snug. It has a texture supports good grip. We are happy with it.

Apparently they're out of business now, but if you can still find Ballistic Tough Jackets for your phone, get one. I've had them for Moto G and iPhone and there's nothing like them for optimum feel in the hand and protection from drops. Some of the most popular cases seem too minimalist and offer little protection. For those who like the bare phone feel this isn't for you, but if you like security and a good grip, this is a perfect balance.

I had my iPhone 6 plus for five years, and for most of that time, it was protected by the Ballistic Tough Jacket. Only complaint I might have with this design is that the rubber corners are so protective, they don't many any noise when the phone hits the ground. I almost lost my phone once when it silently fell off my belt as I was exiting the car! Fortunately I noticed. I give 5 stars even though I didn't use the built-in screen protector. It worked fine for a while, but was never as responsive as a screen protector that's adhered to the glass. I just removed it and got a glass screen protector. Only other problem I had was that after a year or more of constant use, the belt clip would eventually break. But I'm using my phone all day. So I happily would buy a new one! Now I have an iPhone 11, and this case so far doesn't seem to exist for it... :-(

This is the exact/entire review I posted on Ballistic's website:"Before purchasing online, couldn't tell from pictures that the majority of the outer surface (entire back and most of the sides) is hard/slick plastic. Used it for a week, but had to replace it with another case. The lack of any grip on sides/back makes it far more prone to a drop, sliding off a car seat, or a slight bump pushing it off desk/nightstand. Design too focused on surviving a drop, and not preventing a drop."I received an email from them saying "We will forward your concerns to our Engineering and Design Team for future considerations" but the review was still not posted now weeks later. I emailed them back about it not being posted, that it appears their website to be a facade of fake or at best selective reviews. No response.One person's experience with their product, judge for yourself. But wanted to post the experience here on Amazon (where I actually bought it) since it was not getting posted on the Ballistic website.Replaced this case with the Body Glove Dropsuit Case. MUCH better design. Thinner, but still substantial It has the texture/grip that the Ballistic case does not. While probably true that the Ballistic case will help survive a higher drop, it is also far more likely to cause/contribute to that accidental drop because of its outer slick plastic. The Body Glove case for me is the combination of drop protection and drop prevention I was looking for.
