Great product. Packaging was good, arrived on time, unpacked an threw in a box an sound amazing.

I should only give this item a 3 star due to what I found inside the box containing the speaker. The sub itself is amazing and moves a lot of air for its size. Sound quality is excellent and handles lots of power. In the pictures you can see that I found a snap off razor blade when I pulled the sub out of its factory sealed box. It is some type of snap blade with tape for a handle. It scared me to think I could of really badly cut myself opening the package. Be warned: there are careless people that will leave sharp items in places you would least expect. Update: 2-15-2020 I’ve now had this 8” dual 2ohm sub in my Explorer and it still hits just as hard. Still running it off of a 2000w 1ohm Rockville amp. A good pair. No problems to repot except that it has now gone through 2 boxes. This thing will rattle them apart. I’m thinking about building my own next time for a more solid box.

I used this with the Car Audio Single 8" SPL Bass Subwoofer Labyrinth Vent Sub Box for my 2018 Kia Soul. I may have a bit of an Outlier situation here, but I originally mounted my Skar 8" sub in the stock Kia Soul spot (think, above the right rear tire well, using the frame as a sub box). I always thought for the amp I was running (Rockford Fosgate R500X1D Prime 1-Channel Class D Amplifier ) it should just "Hit" a bit harder... well, I literally just cut the wire going to the Skar sub, and hard spliced the cord to the stand alone box and "BOOM!" my stereo literally came back to life. I couldn't be more happy with my current setup. For being little 8" sub, this thing hit's some pretty impressive low end. I was showing my friends a sub "burn in" track and the low SPL is just impressive. Highly recommend for any music enthusiast looking for great bass in a small sub. Good Luck!

Was running hippo massive 8s in my F150. Regrets cause both 8s failed within months, to my surprise the Rockville 8s W8k9d4s have a very impressive bass and have handled higher volume. Definitely integrity proven, Im happy.

The Rockville subwoofers are my pick for sound and power handling. My X8 keep popping tinsel leads. But still great X8 sub repairing it for a final third time. Went with the K9-8 to see if I can poke fun at my X8 history ....lol. The two 10 inch I picked up in February 2019. The 8 inch I bought in October 2019. The bottom two are nice for heavy excursion purposes only. Not bad for the price that I purchased them for. However, I had to repair one of the coils that was bad myself because I believe it had bottomed out. I believe that it was never correctly aligned from the manufacturer. But, it has been hanging hard now for over a year since I repaired it. So much so that it's twin coil is weaker and it sucks in on high pressures. Already purchased the materials and just have to tear it down and rebuild it. It's all being pushed by a hearty and healthy 2500 watts with no problems!!!! Definitely one of the best purchases I've done. It doesn't really explain what each voice coil is capable of handling but I've had my 1000watts amp giving two of these 500w (250 on each voice coil) for a little over a year and zero issuess/distortion after all the music I've played through it.

For an 8” it thunders on 1,500 watts, still breaking it in but I love it and the excellent price! Very heavy for the factory box. It comes in and the carrier didn’t take care of it as well as they should have. There was some slight damage that I was able to fix.
