By Scalpel and Herb, Blood and Healing Hands: A Novena to the Healing Goddess Eir

I love the prayers found in their booklet! I like that there is a suggested structure but it gives room for flexibility. However, it is very small. Very small. Fits in my hand, and is great for keeping around during prayer and ritual. But it is a smidge overpriced for the size.

I loved this, it opened a whole new type of devotional practice to me. Very well worth the little $.

It's a very small pocket book and extremely thin. I would have paid maybe $5 or $10 but nothing more.

I originally purchased this book for myself, went through the novena personally and just recently purchased it for a friend of mine who is looking to develop a deeper relationship with Eir. I highly recommend this book to all who are looking to begin a relationship with Eir and to set up that devotional practice with Her. I also highly recommend any of the books by Krasskova, as the author has an amazing writing style that is both personal and informative. Her book "Devotional Polytheism" is also a must have for any who aspire to build a deep devotional relationship with the gods of our ancestors!

Wirklich ein kleines Büchlein, aber dann ist es auch kein Devotional mit verschiedenen Materialien von verschiedenen Autoren, sondern eine Novena. D.h. es enthält Vorschläge oder eine Anleitung für eine neuntägige Ritual- bzw Gebetsreihe für Eir. Dazu gibt es für jeden Tag einen kurzen Text zu lesen (diese sind sehr kurz, aufgrund des Mangels an Quelltexten), Gebete, praktische und klassische Offerings. Zu den Vorschlägen für praktische Offerings oder Aktionen gehören zu daß Pflanzen eines Baums oder Spenden am verschiedene passende Organisationen.Ich finde die Länge (oder Kürze! ) ok; längere Rituale hätten mich überfordert, aber so sieht die Sache machbar aus.
