Otherwise, you will need some XLR to 1/8" adapter and possibly something to match the impedance mismatch. **Q: Can this record audio while you are recording video on your iphone?** A: In order to use this mic with your iphone, you would need a XLR to 1/8" high impedance adapter, and then likely some way to adjust the levels within the iphone. While I enjoy my MD46, I don't recommend it for use on an iphone. **Q: what size flag works best for this mic?** A: Little square flags and even the triangular flags seem to work fine with it. But keep in mind the deeper the microphone flag the less the reporter or producer has To hold. If it’s on a mic stand, you shouldn’t have to worry about that. **Q: Can it work well for podcasting as well (plugged into the computer)?** A: The short answer is yes. But you'll need a way to power it and a way to convert its XLR to a jack that will fit into your computer. Instead, I suggest getting a mic with a USB port so you can plug it directly into your computer.
