Great quality at a great price
We ordered these trees as a second row of a windbreak/security screen. At $4/tree, even if they don’t make it, it’s worth the money when Thuja are easily 4x that at a store. But, our trees arrived quickly, well packaged, and very healthy. We didn’t plant the trees for weeks and they still looked great in their nursery pots. I highly recommend these as an inexpensive but quality choice.

All Good !
I have a ton of deer and even though Green Giants are normally deer resistant, when you have 50-60 deer take a "nibble" and decide they don't like them, they can still do damage when the plants are small. I've ordered 2x (20 Plants) and all plants were over 12" and were healthy. I did plant 10 outside immediately and fenced them in to protect from deer. Even the deer that don't try to "taste them" will usually trample them so you may consider some deer fencing if you are in an area with a lot of deer. They are hearty and can take a bit of a beating, but if animals walk over top of them long enough, they will die. TIP: If you need to, you can remove plants from the container they come in and re-plant in 1 gallon pots. (I mix my local soil with top soil from the local store). I put them on my sunny 2nd story deck away from deer, They have all doubled in size and are doing well. Water every 2-3 days. I'll let these get a bit larger then re-plant them (maybe next year). I'll bring them into my sunroom during the Winter (I keep it at 45-50 degrees). TIP 2. The longer they are in the ground BEFORE first frost the better. 3 months is usually ok , but the longer the better. I like to get them into the ground after the last frost. (In PA, I play it safe and normally wait until Mid April or even May. That gives 6-7 months or so before the really cold weather comes. Getting them in early as possible lets them get established before it gets "blistering hot" too (mid July or August here). TIP 3. Duh..... make sure you don't forget to water. You don't need to "saturate the crap" out of them, but for the first month I water every 2 days (unless rain is in the forecast - which is why April / May is a big help). After that I check them every 3 days and normally "hit them with the water to keep the soil moist. Mulch around the base appx 6" helps keep the soil from drying out. *** You MAY (in some areas and with some Green Giants) see some "browning" or Gold color in the Winter (and if you are not watering enough when first planted). The color is normal. Don't worry, they'll green up in Spring. (Note: ORANGE color, Dried TAN color , and flat foliage is not good. Normally foliage that is green / gold or even a bit brownish is fine but make sure the foliage looks "plump". As they dry out the foliage looks like you've pressed it or flattened it. If you catch this early, you can save the plant. Once they establish after the first year, you can see 3 feet of growth per year depending on sun etc. Hope this helps.

Impressed! The Green Giants Arborvitaes are beautiful!!!
Great trees! The packaging was perfect. The trees arrived in wonderful condition. They were undamaged and beautiful. I just planted all 10 of them in the ground, then ordered 10 more for next week. Very impressed! Thank you.

Arrived healthy, only time will tell how they will fare
I purchased 30 of these plants in three separate shipments over a couple of weeks to plant along my fence. They came well packaged and healthy. Oddly, three of the plants are turning black and dying. Mother nature and I have been watering consistently. I just hope the rest remain healthy and continue growing, or all that work and money will be down the drain.

Bought a lot of 25 and a lot of 10 but bad results: Here is my story
I bought a lot of 25 and a lot of 10 for a total of 25. At the same time I also bought 7 Emerald Green Arborvitae and all 7 are alive and well after 7 months. These 2 lots of 25 and 10 were a little shorter and so I planned on them taking a bit longer to actually be a growing force on my property. While all 7 of the Emerald Green are still alive, not the same story with the 35 Thuja Green Arborvitae. When these were received, there were 4 that were mostly dead on arrival, and I opened them up within minutes of Amazon delivery to my front door. I immediately began watering and placing them in a lighted, semi-sunny window as it was too early in the spring to plant outside. Once risk of frost was gone, I planted these in the same areas I planted the Emerald Green, so some had more sun while some had less sun. We have been having a drought this summer and into the fall, so I watered them all once to twice a week. Early on, I watered a little more often to make sure they established themselves well. After a month in the ground, there were 7 more that were dead, just dried up and brittle brown, dead. So, out of the 24 that were still alive, only 20 made it to 2 months outside. The 3rd through 6th months outside, just counted again a couple days ago, I am left with just 11 alive, and 3 of them are not looking very well with some dead areas on them. I would say that none of the 35 of them are thriving, and there is no pattern of more sun or less sun or more water or less water that would help me know why I only have 11 left alive. Remember, I also bought 7 Emerald Green Arborvitae at the same time and they have received the exact same treatment and all 7 of them are still alive. I checked with several local nurseries to see what kind of arborvitae they were selling and they had both for this area. I also bought insecticide and fungicide and sprayed them starting in their first month outside so I ruled that out. I can say this, that I will not be buying any lots of Thuja Green Arborvitae from this seller again. By the way, the way they were shipped was absolutely ridiculous. They had stapled cardboard all around them to hold in the dirt, but the dirt was everywhere in the packaging and the staples were ridiculous to try and remove so I could get to each arborvitae to plant them.
