Klement's Beef Summer Sausage, 3 Pounds

While living in Milwaukee, Iregularly went to this brew pub right on the Milwaukee River. Got there a little late on a Friday afternoon and saw 2 guys at a table and asked them if I could join them. Sure they said and then a waitron delivered a large plate of sliced up sausage. They said "try some." I told them this sausage was fantastic and they asked me what I knew about sausage. I told them was a butcher in my parents supermarket and that all branded sausage I was aware of was tasteless and loaded with fat. They then introduced them selves as third generation Klements. Well the Germans make great beer and sausage - I am a wine person - was in the business - but when in Milwaukee - their beer and sausage is great! 5/21/21 Just received another and it is great! Germans do two great things, beer and sausage. They have kraut on their sausage also with mustard - the trick is to roll the paper so that U do not cover yourself with mustard while eating the sausage. Great to see Amazon still has this product - ENJOY!

Pretty tasty. I run it thru the slicer and seal it all up in 1 pound plastic containers then REFRIGERATE.

Not a great flavored meat stick.

Was so excited to share this product with my husband, but took a taste of it and there was no flavor, no beef - it was ALL FAT! Gave a sample to my husband to make sure I wasn't imagining things and he spat his sample out of his mouth - and he eats anything! Next I tried cooking the product thinking that might improve the flavor but it did not.This product is so bad I refused to give my dog a sample, so unfortunately the entire Beef Summer Sausage will be going in the garbage! (Yes I know, dog does rate higher than my husband, but you should know that my husband does have to wipe the dogs hind-end and this would have caused my dog to have a lot of problems there not to mention make my husband furious!!)Save your money and try a different product.

Had lots of mustard seeds that I like but the sausage was just a little too greasy for my liking. Great value though for the size.

We love summer sausage with cheese and crackers followed by apple slices. The flavor of the meat isn't over- powered by sage or garlic, it's perfect!

Used for Super Bowl. Love the option of beef over pork. Taste was great. Price is not so great.

I loved the smaller Klements summer sausages. The three lb. summer sausages are definitely inferior.The texture isn't right and they are way too greasy for my taste.It seems as if they left the meat in the grinder for too long because it looks more like bologna than to summer sausage.,I bought two of them and I waited until I started the second before submitting my report, just in case I got a bad one.They were both the same.I will not be buying any 3 lb. sausages again.
