Most important thing anyone even children can do--is read, read when you first begin what interests you. Later read things still interesting--albeit I was able by working within the day study the job detail at night from books work myself into manager, it took a lot of work-THIS book is loaded full of information, it is wonderful to read--did you know Einstein had a problem in school and was told he would NEVER amount to NOTHING? Never listen to people who say YOU CAN NOT do it--because many people just like this book explains did great things in their life. I recommend this book to anyone-parents, or parents to be-or people who love information. IT IS A GREAT BOOK

How to see strengths and weaknesses
"Smart Kids With Learning Difficulties" was written specifically for parents and teachers working with bright children experiencing difficulties in school including ADHD and learning disabilities, among others. Throughout the book, one of the major themes is that twice-exceptional students’ educational needs must be considered in the context of both their strengths and weaknesses. There is also an emphasis on providing for gifted students who may have an unidentified disability due to the student self-accommodating, or may not be identified as gifted as their disability may be masking their giftedness. The book follows a logical progression from identification, to child needs, to what quality programming may look like for these children, and ends with additional ideas to enhance learning for these students. Parent and teachers will appreciate the organized structure of the book and the jargon-free discussion. While the book contains a strong overview of the challenges often experienced by twice-exceptional students, by far the book’s greatest strength is the volume of problem-solving tips and materials. There is also a short discussion on transitioning to college and materials are provided to aid students in making this transition including a college planning sheet and a self-advocacy outline. Each chapter also contained a wealth of resources including templates, charts of useful strategies, and materials to help teachers differentiate in the classroom.

Slow read but informative
Informative so far I am not even halfway through, it seems to be a slow read which I hate.

A must read for parents and educators! A wonderful resource for everyone!
This book is fabulous. It really covers a wide range of helpful topics and is written in a friendly format. I love that it acknowledges the fact that kids learn differently and it provides ways to overcome the challenges that some may encounter when trying to teach smart kids with learning difficulties. A must read for parents and educators!
