These are the snow variant, so they have the filter. I bought this kind to hopefully keep out oak catkins. Places like home depot don't sell the filter variant by the singles. Really you should find a roofing contractor locally and bargain for leftover single snow variants if you need individual vents. But if you don't want to do that, then buy these. Note that they are quite overpriced and do not even come with nails for that price, though.

Pretty darned good ridge vent all things considered. Arrived quickly and installed easily. Deducted 1 star because the nails were missing in many of my pieces (no big deal, just extra work), but overall they worked out great. We shingled right over them as advertised, and no bugs/insects have infiltrated these in a few years now. Also they have stayed nice and clean in our MN winters without allowing snow in the attic.
