There is a rattle inside (something loose). Hopefully it still works. Going to install tomorrow.

works great this is the second one I have bought in last 15 years the other unit same as this one rusted out where it sat on wet carpet on standing water...this newest unit I bought I screwed the charger to a 2" x 6 " preasure treated block of wood to wet if off the wet hull of boat works great feel By screwign it the top of the pressure treated board for a very long time...the unit works great you plug it in and walk away after fishing all day the 3 batterys on the boat get charged at the same time..find it and...buy it

Don't even play around with other onboard chargers. This one IS the one you need to get. It works at changing your batteries fully and will maintain your batteries properly. I use flooded batteries and it charges them up and then keeps them up. No doubt it's quality construction and quality charge programming. Glad it's made in the USA too!

The unit was a replacement for a 13 yr. old, similar private label unit made by the same company. It performed as spec'd out of the box. The only problem I had was the AC power cord was too short (and plug wrong gender) to reach the female bulkhead connector on my boat. I had to splice in about a 2' piece of cord from the old unit. The most time spent in installing the unit was getting the old unit wiring out of the boat's electrical harness, otherwise, it was a snap.

Truly amazing how efficient and "smart" these systems have become. It's been nine years since I had purchased my last new unit. This one is my fourth. Their new units are still, in my estimation, the best. Reliable, quick, sustained charges and now with the new chip technology it can tell you what the charger is doing, what the battery is doing and what you need to do to fix common problems. They are still heavier than most competitors I've seen but all things considered they are my choice and have been since my first one, so many years ago.

Amazing charger. Thought I had a bad battery but after installing this charger in my boat and hooking up the 3 batteries was thinking yes to charged 100% and one would only charge to 80%. Went to clean up and move some gear out of the boat. Got back and found the one battery that I could not get to 100% with my other charge was now at 100%.

I haven't used it much yet, but it charges my AGM batteries in under 2 hours. Easy to install and easy to use.

Just what my husband ordered!! Gotta gave the best for that Ranger boat!!!!
