Two Themes from Harry Potter And the Sorcerer's Stone: For Solo Harp (John Williams Signature Edition - String)
K**7
Nice music, badly proofread score.
Lovely tune, but I don't think a harpist ever proofread these scores. It uses the bisbigliando notation for one-handed trills. Many of the pedal changes are not marked; sometimes they are marked after they are needed; of the pedal changes that are marked, they are sometimes placed above the staff and sometimes between the staves. There are measures with very strange pedal/note choices... there's a measure (#29 of Fluffy's harp) that has [pedal changes to Eflat and D#] Eflat B F# B F# D# Enatural... The one Eflat would have been perfectly easy to do in D#, saving two pedal changes. Fingerings for Fluffy include 4-th-slide, two-handed bisbigliando, one-handed trills, triplets (3-against-2), 32nds, rolled chords; Note range is F1 to E6. For Hedwig there are also 32nd-note-hextuplets and -septuplets.
