Pieviev Cat Litter Mat Double Layer Waterproof Urine Proof Trapping Mat 1 Pack (Gray, 24x15 Inch (Pack of 1))

We have several of these in various sizes, and we just ordered more to replace the remaining mats of other types (4 cats, 5 litter boxes). We love these - they're much more effective than any other litter mats we've ever tried. They do an excellent job of getting the litter off the paws and collecting it, and they're deep enough that you don't have to immediately clear them - they work for weeks. When you do feel the need, it's easy to vacuum them (I use a small shop vac), or you can just pick them up and hold them vertically, letting all the litter slide out through the one open end. They're also soft and squishy, so they're comfortable to step on, for either us or the cats. (And tbh, I sometimes step on one to get stray litter bits off my socks.) They seem to be quite durable, as well - we've been using a couple of them for 4 years and they show no signs of wear, unlike some flat mesh-topped ones that cracked and split after a while. The material is sufficiently non-skid that we can tuck one end under the litter box, and that keeps it firmly in place. (Otherwise it does tend to skate away.) Note that they arrive folded once or twice (at least for the larger sizes), but that flattens right out after a day or two, so don't be alarmed.

This has been working great. Captures the cat litter and takes it in ready to dump in the trash. I can’t even see it because it’s deep enough that once it goes in it isn’t coming out until you clean it. It’s good quality and I highly recommend.

This mat works great. I came folded up and it took a while to get it flattened out, but that’s my only complaint. It works well and traps a lot of litter, my cat does not have a problem walking on it either.

I’ve purchased this mat twice now and currently use one for each of our litter boxes. One of our kittens is terrible about tracking litter all over the floor when she jumps out, and these mats help catch a lot of it before it spreads around the room. The double-layer design works well for trapping loose litter and it actually holds quite a bit before needing to be emptied. I usually just pick it up, open the layers, and dump the litter back into the box. Cleaning is simple too — hosing it down outside works well when it needs a deeper clean. Setup is quick as well; you simply place it under or in front of the litter box and it’s ready to go. The material feels durable and has held up well with daily use. It also stays in place nicely instead of sliding around on the floor. If you’re considering this mat, just make sure you choose the right size for your space, litter box, and cat. The coverage makes a big difference in how much litter it catches. TLDR, a practical and worthwhile purchase for keeping the litter area cleaner. :)

I actually like this mat, it actually does serve a purpose. The only thing I would probably change would be making it wider. I think it's very narrow and long. But overall I'm pretty satisfied with it. It really does help keep the litter somewhat contained, but as I said before in my statement if it was wider it would be better. As far as durability, it's soft enough for the cat, and it holds up well when I'm cleaning it out.

Not happy with this purchase. While it does trap some litter, its awkward shape makes it hard to then empty the litter without getting it everywhere. And then plenty more litter is never trapped at all. Purchasing a large silicone mat instead.

Excellent kitty litter mat! I’ve had many cats and used many mats and this one is by far the best! Catches litter from cat paws and prevents them from tracking it all over the house. Also water proof. I have a cat that pees over the side of the litter box and I put one under the box to protect my floors. I love the mat so much that I bought two more! I used to vacuum the area daily, with these mats down I don’t have to vacuum nearly as much!

I ordered the XL Pieviev 30"x 24" mat. I also ordered the Wepet super-size 45" x 35" mat. They both work well with slight differences. This mat is slightly too small. I would love this mat more if it was available in 35 or 36" X 24" or even 30"x30" - just a bit bigger, but it works very well as is. I just have to angle our litter entrance. This mat works well for collecting litter around the box. The litter stays put and does not travel off the mat at all. Most of the litter is caught right outside the exit of the litter box. I really love not having to get litter out of the crevices of my wood floors! Because the mat is just slightly too small for our box, I keep our litter at an angle on the mat to ensure the cats have to walk on the mat for several steps when exiting and it works perfectly. Our box has a lid, so only one choice of exit, but if cats could exit from any angle, I would need a smaller litter to have all sides surrounded by this mat. It does feel very pleasant to walk on - soft, cushy, and almost like foam, but not squishy. My cats use it with no problems. The texture collects litter slightly better than our Wepet mat because the soft texture traps it, but the Wepet is smoother and contents slides off easier during cleaning. This Pieviev collects more dust and fur and is harder to dump contents from since they cling. Its softer flexibility and cushy texture means I have to shake the mat to get it to release the contents - they don't just slide off the way our Wepet mat does and it results in more dust flying, so I put it completely inside a trash bag when dumping to prevent dust. The smaller size also means if my sons spill litter when changing the litter, it isn't contained as easily. The texture of the mat does mean litter doesn't scatter as far, though. The Wepet mat is smoother and more rigid, so dust doesn't stick/absorb and contents slides off easily when dumping, but they also migrate more, so there is litter throughout the whole mat instead of concentrated at the litter exit. That said, I prefer dumping the Wepet mat because it opens on each end, so litter can be dumped from top or bottom. At first, I thought this would make it easy to spill or difficult to dump the contents without messes - bit it is the opposite! Contents stay put until I dump them and having both ends open makes it so much easier to clean! The Pieviev is a bit harder because contents get stuck in the upper end where it closed like an envelope. Recap: This mat works very well. Comfy to walk on. Looks nice. Catches all the litter from their paws in the first few steps. Slightly too small, but still works well. Collects some dust and fur (not bad though) Requires some shaking to get contents loose when dumping. The rigidity of the Wepet mat makes it easier to dump the contents in the trash, easier to clean, and less dust collects in it because of the smooth texture, but it is not as soft or comfy to walk on and litter migrates across the whole mat, not just a few spots. It's hard to say which I prefer. For softness to step on and trapping litter in a more concentrated spot right outside the box, I prefer this Pievev and it looks nice aesthetically. For cleaning ease and optional larger mat sizes, I prefer the Wepet. One note - I have only had these a few weeks and I have *not* hosed them down or scrubbed with water/liquid cleaners, so how these each clean or hold up to water remains to be seen.

Product is ok…but I didn’t receive the actual size which i am suppose to receive the size I received is 21><28 but the actual size is 24><30. Fake size they don’t deliver as per the description.

Arrived in time. No more mess at the cat litter box, it traps the litter from the cat paws when is getting out of the box

Opens on 3 sides with velcro making it easier to clean then the ones sewn closed on 3 sides. Also my two arrived not folded and I could use them right away, unlike the other similar product that I had to put heavy weights on to get the folds and creases out.

Good product, easy to install and the cats love to lay on it already! I love how easy it is to pour the loose litter either in the trash or back into the litter box (when I just changed it and they decide to have a party!) EDIT a few days later : We find significantly less litter on the floor since we started using this mat, so that's a win! But be careful when you lift it to pour it back into the litterbox, you need to 'separate' the top layer from the bottom one (by pulling it up) so that the litter falls onto the bottom layer and doesn't go everywhere when you flip it.
