Love the nite eyes Steelei system. I have seen a couple other systems out there. the main attraction to the others, is that there isn't a credit card erasing magnet on the back of something that goes in your purse and pocket. The advantage of having a magnet on the back of you r device is, in my opinion, priceless. I also have the connect system from nite eyes for my iPhone 6S. I can stick it to the underside of my car when I am working on it and need access to a guide. Or wast to have a recipe handy, I can stick it to my fridge.....and ultimately this is a review for the vent clip with works great. IT holds solid and have removed it and used it in rentals and friends cars over and over and it still holds firm. hasn't broken from fatigue use or anything as such. Great little nifty item.

The steelie vent ball kit is great for holding your smartphone in place while driving. My first kit was given to me by a niteize representative at the 2016 ISTE Conference in Denver.I did not want to add the magnet to my case so I drilled a hole in my case and attached it directly to my iPhone 6. The vent kit is so great because you can easily move it to any vehicle with a horizontal vent. The kit has a strong clip and it keeps your device secure.I gave my phone, kit and case to my grandson for his car so I am buying another kit for my wife's phone.I purchased a Ballistic iPhone 7 case with an opening over the apple logo and was pleased to see that the opening works well with the magnet. No modifications were needed and the case holds the magnet in place without using the 3M adhesive. If it works itself out I will use the adhesive.There are other brands that also expose the Apple Logo and it might work for them as well.

I have purchased many of these this is a vent model it allows you to put it inside the vent flap hold your phone at the appropriate position and it's easy to install easy to disconnect and it's stable when you're driving I don't know how much more I could say it's easy absolutely five stars in my opinion you won't go wrong using it.

Word to the wise, this is JUST the vent mount. You still have to buy the socket that goes on your phone.I was disappointed, but maybe I should have read better.I saw this on display at a store, loved it. I did a ,maybe too quick , Amazon search and purchase. I have now ordered the socket, and it's still cheaper for both parts than the retailer.This vent mount is sturdy, sleek and can mount vertical or horizontal. It has a nice clip/clamp ( open to place, close to stay) that makes it stick/stay well. It's not a cheapy slide on, slide off eventually, like the scent things. Just FYI- it's a good hard open and close clamp that STAYs where it is put. Once I get the phone magnet part, I'll be golden.

Honestly, I have been looking for years for the ideal car phone holder and this was the perfect purchase. It was recommended by a friend and I am glad to follow his advice. I tried the CD phone holder but eventually the holder started falling out of the CD slot. Then I tried the one where it suctions to the windshield with a foldable arm that allows the phone to rest on the dashboard. First, pain to install and it is an obstruction of my view. I have tried the cheap, plastic air conditioner holders but they eventually did not have the strength to stay connected to the vent and would not be able to close all the way on the phone.THIS product has strong clamps and they do not loosen at all. It is able to remain connected to the vents and there is no worry that it will fall. With the strong magnet that is attached to my phone, it's groove allows it to connect easily to the metal mount. The phone is able to adjust to the ideal position and you never have to worry about it losing the position you place it in.

Takes a little while to find the sweet spot on your AC vent where this mount won't slide off. Once you do, the vent will never move again. So, be certain you're happy with its eventual location.I bought this after trying the dash mount. That model failed because the adhesive backing would not hold up to Summer heat, so when I attached the phone the entire mount fell off onto the floor.

I love this...It works without any sticky crap.Very satisfied. It is sturdy and hopefully will hold up well!
