Pintech Crushed It! Great Instrument!
Love it! Great addition for my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit! The mount is a little too big for the cymbal mount, but I used a small piece of inner tube to make up the difference, and it works perfect! I paired it with a 5’ patch cable and plugged it in as Crash 2. Later, I can always switch it to Tom 4 if I want. The rubber on it feels good and rebounds naturally. It triggers nicely, I can see that depending on how it is mounted it could suffer from mis-triggers, but with the rubber gasket I used, it triggers perfectly!I may buy another one if I find a need for another trigger. If you have any questions... ask!

Poor construction
I really liked the idea of this tubular trigger (the size, shape, mounting options, minimalist look...), but it's junk. Granted it's less than $40.00, but it's still junk. The rubber cover that's originally adhered to the metal tube had come un-stuck form the metal tube by the time it arrived to me, and the strong adhesive on the rubber cover then adhered to the plastic bag it was packaged in. Making the rubber cover almost useless, which meant I'd be striking a metal tube. So i went about removing all adhesives and trying to re-install the rubber cover to the tube. I even tried 3M auto double sided tape. No luck. And now my return window has closed. I should have spent the extra money on a Roland BT1 trigger from the start.

Here is my workaround…
Hey guys. I ordered two and they arrived with most of the shortcomings as everybody else. But here’s what I did.I received an entire rubber sleeve that wrapped around the whole tube. I cut this sleeve down to a 1 inch wide sliver, similar to the pictures. I then wrapped this 1 inch wide sliver to the tube tightly with gaffer tape. The triggering works decent. The rebound is good. And it doesn’t look that bad. I may order another set and do the same operation. To me this way, they might be worth the money still.

Works As Expected
No problems with responsiveness or crosstalk right out of the box, using with Roland TD-30 drum module. Solid build, compact form factors, totally gets the job done.Only minor complaint is the rubber seems very firm under the stick, not much compression and bounce back feeling like I get on my other trigger bar. So a little less natural to play, like you are hitting the shank of your stick on a metal pole, which I guess you are...when you set it for a cowbell patch and put on the headphones, it feels exactly like playing a cowbell.

Very well made.
I really love this product very well made and Quality. The one i recevied was different from the picture Amazion shows. Might be older model. Or a copy cat the input conennection is in the end of the dinbat. And alao the letter are different .The one on the picture shows the input underneath the dinbat. And it shows the model name and brand. The one i have just say pintech with no model name. I have try it yet. Put I'm still happy i got it. This week i will try it. 1 week passed i tried this trigger and is wonderful very sensitive works beautiful very happy with it. I recommend it to anyone.

These are NOT the good quality Nimrod and Dingbat Rod Triggers.
I have all pin tech triggers on my mesh drum heads. They have always been great and they’ve always been and affordable option to Roland or Yamaha triggers. I also have the Dingbat and the Nimrod horizontal pole trigers like this one. Unfortunately the quality control has gone out the window. An awful finish job with loose and I assume a broken piezo transducer inside the rod. I thought this was just a bad one off, so I ordered another one and aside from the broken Piezo. The sensitivity was pure garbage compared to my pin tech Dingbat and Nimrod trigers and not even close to the quality of my pintech mesh head triggers. Sloppy glue job on the rubber assembly, very poor quality control. I am so disappointed because I like buying made in the USA. I still have Pintech triggers all around my drum set, But I will no longer buy their products. This is so disappointing because I wanted to like it.

Just what i needed!
This addition to my Alesis electronic drum set is perfect. The main reason i got it is because i need a cowbell and some other precision sound and this fit the bill! Its a little bigger than i expected put that was not a problem! This is a terrific product for the price!

Rubber came off before I got to use them
These may work well, but I won’t know until I fix them. They arrived with the rubber contact patch falling off, and now I need to rubber cement them back on. They seem high priced for what you get.
