This PA system was purchased for church and DJing. The sound is great. This works well outdoors for block party. (72 house block) The sound was heard on the other end of the block. The wireless mics produced great sound. Will be using this at my recording studio to see how great it is for recording. After trying many other allegedly top speakers this is by far the best portable speaker. The speaker battery will charge if you have the charge switch on while using the speaker with the power cord. I have spent more money on other supposedly high quality speakers that can't hold a candle to this great system. Works well with Apple and Android devices. (used Apple I-Phone, Apple I-pad 2, Generic android tablet, Samsung Galaxy tab, and Samsung Note 4 phone) No problems with none of the devices used. Very decent price for all of my devices to be compatible with it. The additional port for a wired mic produces great sound as well.

I just received the Pyle PPHP1299WU.5. It seems to work well for the mic amplification. But if you go to the manual for any start up assistance. FORGET IT! The manual tells you nothing about operating the unit. How do I tell when the unit is charging or when the unit has reached full charge? When I first turn it on how do I tell the level of the current charge? Can I use it in AC mode only? Where and how do I attach the mic holders? How to best set the master and mic volume settings? How do those settings best coordinate with the individual Mic A and Mic B settings? The list of questions goes on and on, but I'm not going to mention everything. The whole start up is a guessing game... and it shouldn't have to be. Guess I'll have to call the factory for assistance. UPDATE: I called the factory for assistance. As is typical, I got someone who is a foreigner and I couldn't understand her English. She told me that I would have to wait until I am sent an email (within the next day or two) and that I could then submit my questions via email and that they would reply within 24-48 hours. BOY!! This is turning into a NIGHTMARE. I will update further correspondence with PYLE after I have heard from them. Two days and counting for some simple answers to questions that should have been available through the user manual.

Great speaker!

Purchased this for events and it was not at all what was expected. It came in a self storage box with all the accessories in the bottom in a ziplock bag. There was styrofoam everywhere in side the speaker and the back. One of the microphones came broken, not even able to be used. The speaker itself connected beautifully and seamlessly to the phone and other microphone but the sound quality was awful. The bottom half of the speaker did not work and the bass is out completely. IF it had all worked right, I have no doubt it would have been a nice speaker. Just a little upsetting to spend that kind of money and the product not work right. Maybe it was a dud, or maybe it was used, who knows. We bought it new, just make sure to test EVERYTHING when you get the speaker. We did get a refund, just make sure you check everything out!

Easy to use, sounds good, good range for microphones

honestly would be 5 star if it didnt show up with connection issue. speaker very loud and clear, mic's good range for a low quality mic, bt range and clarity was great. never got a chance to try the battery as i sent it back and only tested it wired. the price to quality ratio would be amazing had it not suffered from connection issues. im sure i could have opened it up and fixed the wire causing the short, but it was easier to just return it. i ended up going 1 tier down , same company and product with a lower wattage and 1 mic, and it works great. 0 issues with the lower tier model and very likely to purchase a 2nd one just as a powerful outdoor bt speaker. but the mic is loud and clear, with good range, and perfect for mid-size event hosting. gotta be careful with feedback though, a normal concern with pa systems naturally, but i think with a higher quality mic the feedback/noise canceling would be better. overall i would recommend purchasing and immediately testing it. if it works as intended GREAT, if not ship it back till you get one wired properly

If you're looking for a portable PA system that is portable (wheels and a pull handle), includes a microphone (this one has two UHF wireless mics), has an internal battery, and enough power to provide sound for a local community building, this thing will do the trick. It's bigger than the really small units, but it has a 12" speaker and an internal battery, so the size is very good considering. Because of those factors, it's also a little heavier than some, but again considering... All in all, I'm very impressed with it. Two downsides though. The user manual is pretty useless, so if you aren't good at figuring out Bluetooth connectivity or the range of control knobs shown in the picture, you might want to get help. Also, there's two holders for the microphones, but nothing anywhere in the manual or website tells you want to do with them. Other than those two points and the fact that it's NOT made in the USA, it's a great little system. Be sure to complete the Pyle website registration after you get it though so you get a full year warranty. Otherwise this thing is only covered for 60-days, and that's no Bueno...
