Some colors better than others
I have a few of cotman colors. I find that Cotman blues and darks are bright but the yellows and reds don’t do as well in mixes leaving the colors look rather dull, I’m guessing because of the fillers in student grade paints, though they may be fine to use on their own if you don’t mix them.

Good value. Is actually black. I tried some in house craft store brand of black and all I got was a mid toned gray. Cotman is a good value over all

Cad Red not as good as my other Cotman
To be fair, this is the only cad red I've used so maybe they're all not so pleasant to use, but I found the consistency different than my other Cotman paints. The color was very vibrant though.

WN never disappoints.
Cottman is supposed to be the "student" grade, but I am a semi-pro (sold some paintings) and I adore the WN-Cottman paints. WN never lets me down. Great color selection, goes on lovely, mixes beautifully... Aces all around. Thank you WN!
