Great addition for the Amplug line!!!
At first sight it looks very cute on a table desk. It's a Perfect size amp if you want to hear yourself at low volume and not bothering the whole family. Great amp for practicing. Somehow this amp was not made to play for gigs or rehearsals with a drum. Also if you want to purchase this you have to tell yourself that it's more of a gadget (toy) than a real amp. But if you are a fan of Vox Amplication or you just want to have a mini amp that looks cute in the office well purchase it. But as I mention it's a toy and not a full tube amp. My first impression was has I actually thought. It's sound great and it replicate quite well the sound of an AC30. I also have the classic Rock Amplug and it sound great also. But if you crank the volume over 5 or 6 the cabinet has a hard time to deliver the sound and you hear distortion as if the amp will explode. In the end I like what it does for the price and it looks great.Jesse

Great, but build quality should have been better.
I love the sound this thing gives - I use my metal amplug and it sounds great at a very low volume. My knock with it is the wire that runs from the unit and plugs into the amplug wasn't soldered well at all. Any bump and the amp will cut out - and you have ti wiggle it to get it to come back, sometimes you really have to jerk the wire around to get the sound back. The other issue is that there's no access to this wire on the inside to fix it yourself unless you gut the insides. Parts are glued in front of where the connections are so you can't get to them to resolder unless you basically break the unit.Bottom line - great sound - crappy build - even at this price they could have done a better job soldering that wire. I can't decide if I should risk buying another one to see if they are all like that or maybe just break this one down and fix it and not worry about what it looks like after I do that.

Vox APCAP Cabinet
To me its a very handsome little companion to the amp and I love the material they used to cover the speaker. The material the actual cab itself is made of feels a bit cheap though and the back cover's little latch feels a bit delicate.I never heard an actual AC30 in front of me but this amp sounds pretty good and with the guitar volume turned down and the gain on the amp at 3 or 2 it gives a smooth and mellow clean sound. At 0.7 watts don't expect to use it as as serious piece of equipment though.Buy it knowing it is a interesting little toy for a beginning guitarist to play with at best.I've seen reviews of cheap soldering and construction problems but so far I haven't had any troubles with it.

I loved it for the 1 day it worked right!
I got this cab to go with my AC30 AmPlug. The first time I played through I must have had a big grin on my face! I loved the crunchy distortion sound. Unfortunately, the next time I tried to use it, it only made a horrible screeching sound after playing just one note. After changing the battery in both the cab and the Amplug and determining that the Amplug wasn't the problem, I contacted Vox (Korg). Of course they don't actually make this and I got huge run-around. After many emails, they finally agreed that it was defective and would replace it; in 3 months when they got another shipment! Well, I did finally get another one, but it doesn't seem to have the same cool sound that I loved the with the first one. I bought it mainly to bring with my Traveler guitar on trips so I'll keep it for this purpose.

For VOX AMP collectors, not for utilitarian usage
This mini-mini amp is for VOX AMP collectors, not for utilitarian usage. I fyou are a VOX Amp collector, you won't find any amp in the world smaller than this baby which is the size of a pack of playing cards. The VOX Pathfinder 15R Amp (w/Reverb) is about the smallest amp from VOX that has decent sound for practice. They make a smaller amp, the Pathfinder 10 (no reverb), but it also would only be functional for a VOX amp collector.

Very poorly made - didn't work correctly at all
I purchased this small cabinet to be used with the Vox Amplug. Upon initial examination, the cabinet appeared to be well-made, but actually trying to use it revealed terribly flawed wiring. I couldn't get any sound out of the cabinet until I jiggled the wire from the Amplug to the cabinet. Then there was a crackling sound followed by the inconsistent sound of a poor connection. When I would wiggle the wire I would always get a crackling sound. This is something I might expect from wear-and-tear, not from a brand new item. I don't know if every one of these cabinets has the same flaw, but in my opinion, quality control should have found this before it left the factory. If you want a headphone amp, the Amplug seems to work fine. But if you want something you can hear without headphones I would recommend looking elsewhere. I regretted purchasing this item. I have no regrets about immediately returning it for a refund. (BTW - Amazon is great for returns and refunds).

Small cab, big sound!
Works great with the Vox Amplugs. Great construction. This will even work with the new Amplug 2's. Great way to let other people hear your awesome practice noises.

All the way from Japan!!
I love the tone of Vox amps and wanted this little cab to plug my amplug ac30 into.It is a great little quick portable sound combo, obviously it's not made to replace a full amp, but I would definitely use it in an acoustic jam. I ended up ordering it from Japan (through Amazon.ca), as it's not carried in Canada any more and none of the US suppliers would ship to Canada????? (missing the boat there guys....).Anyway, the shipping window was 8 weeks, it arrived in about 10 days!! (way to go Japan)! This world's smallest Vox amp is a fun little addition to my gear and it can handle any amplug.Having a lot of fun with my "toy" amp and will probably mic it up for some recording.

Not at all bad
Bought this for my son to use with a VOX amplug. Have been running it with an adapter and if anything its too loud and tends to feedback quite a bit. He seems to like it and thats whats important

Pricey for what it is.
Love the vox amplug for silent practice. This turns it into a cabinet so your friends/family can listen. Sound is wasp in bean tin distortion and a trebly clean.Fun but only for occasional use .
