Tried and True
We have used Jobe products for a number of years and have always found them to be helpful in maintaining the health of our plants. This product is for trees and large shrubbery. We have seven younger trees in the yard of our new home. They were planted during the build process ands have been in for about a year or so. We were looking for a product to provide slow fertilization without the need for us to periodically feed. We had waited a year to give be trees time to establish a good tap root. These spikes are easy to use and go in the outer drip line of the trees. Where the water drips of f the outmost leaves. They are easy to install and the included installation cap gives you something to pound on when placing them in the ground. They have only been in for a couple of weeks, and with some rain we have had we have noticed that the trees look more green and have new growth. Great product!

Plants and Chemistry
I am all about the all natural as the default in not understanding how everything works by default. After reading about hydroponics I realized that plants are amazing biological machines that use the chemistry table as chemist to provide all we require thus if you want your plant to grow and produce for you, they will require chemistry. At least this is the upside blessing of chemistry departments running rampant in the captialism pursuit in dependence into crysis. Hydroponics and chemistry for the plants are a huge win aside from all the fallen plants along the way as there is acid in the mixes and things we must be careful with as those science classes leading up to chemistry uphold the lessons of holes in counters as the blessing, thus why I wanted to go back to school in hopes of creating a domestic system so we can have our victory gardens inside as our plants are better than storing our food, as best on the vine for prolonged longevity in the war of the salads on the pallets of many of us, to which we require some major assistance. I wanted us to create a standard size of basin with easy premeasured tablets to mix in without the require for college chemistry so we can stop wasting our money on iceberg lettuce which is the shame of us all as they had lost their nutrition in order to keep and our tomatoes are plucked as children then provided hormones to ripen them, kinda like humans with growth hormones but opposites as we do not pluck our children to be eaten yet it is what they drink along with puss as the cows are at war with bacteria due to the poop all over them in their cages that are not big enough for them... Well, I purchased this brand for my trees with amazing results after finally gaining the knowledge that our plants need the leaves that were supposed to be on the ground for they have their own recycling program just like the water cycle, or the molten rock cycle, the plants are best with chemistry from themselves not from animal although animal will fertilize in feces and assist with spreading their seeds.

Good, but suggestions ...
I just put in today so I'm just addressing feelings of installation. Pros: you get many for your money. Mine arrived all intact. No bad smell I noticed. I guess it's easy to install if you have a big hammer and am stronger than me ! Cons: only 2 plastic caps per 15 piece bag; they both shattered after using for only 2 spikes. I had watered before but I guess I should REALLY have soaked the ground to make it easier. If the top were flatter and the bottom more pointed, it seems it would be easier to pound in. I'm a 55 year old novice, and it was tiring to do all 30 at once.

Arborist recommended
We had a small tree that was hurting. The arborist recommended we use these spikes twice a year and water in good. The tree has really bounced back and looks great.

Made my trees greener in the hot summer
I've been feeding my yard to help my plants resist the hot Texas summer. This has really helped my grass so I applied the same logic to my trees and shrubs and inserted these stakes as instructed. My trees were struggling to grow new foliage and would occasionally drop foliage resulting in a net loss. I knew I needed to do something to break this cycle and these plant food stakes were the right solution. I would highly recommend them, very easy to use and very effective for stimulating new healthy growth. Due to the extremely poor quality of soil in my neighborhood the trees and grass never stood a chance, but after proper feeding we are in good shape.

Wow, what a difference!
We moved into a house whose previous owners were busy building their retirement home, so this yard got little attention. In the front it has a big cherry tree and a red flowering dogwood. In the rear there's a white dogwood. While we were paying attention to putting in new shrubs, etc. we neglected the aforementioned trees and by mid summer all three were almost bare, losing leaves. So last Fall we began to use these tree spikes on the back dogwood and the front cherry, thinking the front red dogwood would get help from the nearby shrubs being fertilized. Wow, is all I can say. The cherry blooms were sooo gorgeous and plentiful the branches bent a bit from the weight. We first planted the spikes for the cherry tree last Fall. Now the back white dogwood is in bloom, and again the flowering is so much better and healthier looking. Again, it was given the spikes beginning last Fall. However we noticed the front red dogwood, which we withheld tree spikes from, wasn't looking as good as we'd hoped, so we added tree spikes to it a couple of months ago and already the flowers are looking much better. We still plan on spraying all three with anti-mildew/disease spray when they all come into leaf, just to be sure we don't lose all the leaves through the Summer, but I'm certain the tree spikes are definitely making a difference in the quality/amount of flowers each tree has. De[pending upon how they get through this Summer, we may determine that giving them the tree spikes is enough to keep them healthy enough to fight off the disease/mildew issues these trees tend to have. This year we'll help them out with a spray or two, but hopefully next year we'll just be needing to do the tree spikes and let nature take its course. And for this price (we used one box for both the cherry tree and the rear dogwood), it's very economical. Highly recommend!

Easy to use and my shrubs love it
I have a lot of shrubs and trees. I love them and never have enough time to fertilize them properly. These stakes take the thought process out of fertilization efforts. I just stake them into the ground (I use a hammer to pound them into the ground) and just water. My plants are happy because they bloom and grow a lot after a few weeks. These stakes are a no mess easy method to fertilize shrubs, trees, and plants on the ground. A solid recommendation!
