Review: So Sparkly! - I had never done glitter in paint before and had reservations on how it would turn out. However, the rooms sparkle and look absolutely beautiful! You do have to quickly brush over all of the painted walls with a fine sandpaper in order to chip the paint off of the glitter in order for it to really sparkle. It is extra effort, but the payoff is worth it!

**Q: Would you suggest painting the wall whatever color and then painting over with a clear paint with the sparkles in it?**
A: I painted the first coat of my color as is, and then added the sparkle to the paint to do the second coat and it turned out beautifully. I would think that a clear coat would work but I don’t think it’s necessary.

**Q: What is the glitter made from?**
A: I am not sure, but it looks pretty

**Q: I bought this and we did a trial and it is good, we can see the sparkles, but we bought mother of pearl color and it  looks more greenish ..???**
A: I find that many Mother of Pearl glitters and mica powders color shift in green to pink hues. I don't have this glitter color but that might be what you are seeing.

**Q: The video posted on this ad uses Chalk paint, but it says to use water based paint.  What do I use?**
A: Chalk paint is water based paint. Most paints are water based, like acrylic, latex, tempura, and chalk.

I used this to redo my kitchen countertop. Yes...I know it's weird, but I wanted something glitter. I have had a painted countertop for years and it was getting boring. 2 coats of primer, two coats of base coat and then a glitter coat. Though the glitter didn't really show through the paint as I had hoped, it was fine enough for me to just sprinkle everywhere. I may have gone overboard, but I love it. Because there is now texture from all the glitter, it's gonna require a lot of poly to make it smooth - but my glittery countertop will be perfect when done. Couldn't be happier - and there's plenty of glitter to save for another project. One word of caution! This glitter is super fine - you will get it everywhere even if you are careful...I expect I will be finding it in places for decades!
