Very happy with this unit so far, its very well designed and the materials seem to be top quality. The controls on the back of the light are intuitive and very easy to navigate, and so is the remote control. Performance wise it does a great job, powerful indeed!

Light output is totally inadequate for portraiture.

I bought this light knowing what I was getting in to. It is cracking light, same as the Godox. I bought it for my youtube channel and photography. For photography it doesn't matter that the fan is noisy, however for video productions the fan is rather loud and intrusive.The remote control is nice and if you want to lower the light below 25% you need to set the remote to 5500kelvins, then you can lower the light through the remote control to 10%You will need to add diffuser, I will more than likely spend a bit more and get the aperture version over Neewers as I think it gives a nicer tone on the talent.This then is a very good light for those on a budget, not professional, and those who can't stretch to the aperture.

as a studio spot light with brightness control this unit isn't all that bad. Fairly true to daylight 5600K rating. It is fairly heavy so a good study light stand is needed to provide adequate support. It has a fan assisted cooling system which can be quite noisy especially if you wanted this as a key-light/accent light for video production.It has the universal Bowens type mount so a variety of reflectors and Fresnel heads can be fitted to extend its versatility.The remote control feature is handy to allow you to remotely adjust the output and switch the unit on/off. Dimming is smooths and repeatable settings can easily be achieved.

Great little light. I purchased two with cheap fresnel attachments in order to pair with my 120dii... I bought these on sale for £82 each - absolute bargain. Wish the yoke system was better, as it seems kinda like cheap plastic... feels like it could break and would be very tricky to fix, but The rest of the light is solid. Also pretty quiet? A lot of people complained about the noise of the godox, but his hasn’t bothered me at all. For its price, I am very happy!Recommended.

amazing quality despite the price. Does the work of lights priced 3 times as much. The fan is not completely silent, but not exactly loud either. The remote is pretty good, but the unit does have to be switched on at the head for it to work.

Great product in comparison to the other branded lights out there. This light is very bright until the sun comes out when filming indoors we had to move the light very close to our subject to counter the backlit sun other than that it’s well worth the money, we shot in places that were dark and it’s like switching on the sun, if you plan on shooting toward the sun I would go for one of the higher powered choices like the newer 600w

Great value, well built and good performance unit but not suitable for my purposes - the fan noise was too loud. Returned it and bought a Pixapro LED100D MKII Daylight Balanced LED Studio Light. More expensive but much better for what I need it to do.
