Academy U.S. M977 8x8 Cargo Truck

It reminds of my younger days in the ArmyIt is subject to delicate parts breaking if person is too heavy handed.I do not like plastic wheels.

Fun to build

Academy makes great models. Just because you dweebs are too stupid to understand that a plastic model generally requires assembly displays a serious lack of experience and credibility.

Very disappointed.While doing on-line shopping for my 5year old son & 6year old nephew I had come across the description: Academy US M977 Cargo Truck. I was even more excited when I seen the picture of it and confirmed that this is the truck that I had driven in the military and they both love trucks so I placed the order. When I opened the shipping box and discovered it was a model building kit and not actual trucks I was not happy. Neither of the boys have skill or interest in assemblying a kit like this they just wanted to play with the army truck. I believe that the title with the picture should say: Academy U.S. M977 8x8 Cargo Truck KIT.

hard to find item, just what I wanted

I happened to see two ratings here slamming the product. The problem is not the kit or the buyer - where it says "assembly required" amazon has this listed as "NO". I sent them an email, hopefully, they will fix that.I have purchased/built this model kit. It is very good - not an easy build, because of the number of parts, small scale, but it is really good when completed. Instructions are easy to understand, the detail is excellent and you come away with a great representation of one of the finest trucks ever used by the military.If you have interest n building models of this scale, this will not disappoint you. The Infantry & Tankers get all of the glory, but none would go anywhere without excellent logistical support. This M977 shows the other side of the picture, very good product, wish they would release a version for the HEMMT Fueler.
