A huge contribution to the resolution of the "free energy" mystery
You really have to have a good reason to read this book to get through it. It is densely packed with names, dates, events and mechanical details, many mired in uncertainty because of the nature of the material. But if you are into the mystery of "free energy" (is it real? has it ever been isolated and utilized? why has something so obviously fabulous, been kept off the market for well over 100 years?), this book is a worthwhile slog. While discussing the inventions of American John Worrell Keely, the author, Theo Paijmans, covers much of the history, evolution, and intrigue of the free energy controversy. The more you know of the players, the more pertinent the book is likely to be. You'll find Keely connected to all the usual suspects in the Theosophical chain (Bulwer-Lytton and especially his novel, The Coming Race; Madame Blavatsky, who writes chapter on him in The Secret Doctrine; Rudolph Steiner, who talks of Keely in several lectures even after he was supposedly proved to be a hoax. Keely's work cuts across that of Tesla, John Jacob Astor, and even the proto-Nazis, List and von Liebenfels. Paijmans does not solve the mystery but his closing chapters propose some reasonable theories still relevant today. It would seem that the same organizations that opposed the natural gift of free energy in Keely's days in the latter half of the 19th Century are still doing the same at the start of the 21st Century. Serious food for thought for those who don't mind their free energy seasoned with the occult.

Fascinating Look into a Lost Genius
For decades people have debated was Keely for real or a fraud. If for real why so secretive, no patents and no documentation? If a fraud, how did he pull it off for so long and why wasn't he out living the high life with all of the money? The author details just about everything known about Keely and his life. Was he an eccentric? A genius like Tesla? Tesla put his technology out there, but even he was secretive and mysterious. The author lays out everything from both sides of the debate. So much has been lost it is not easy to uncover the facts. Maybe Keely was on to something and was a perfectionist to a troubling degree. It didn't seem like he was suppressed until his death. What happened to his machines and papers? The author also details how the esoteric movements of those days kept Keely's ideas alive both in their books and through authors like Verne. Back in those days, those into the strange were interested in technology, a far cry from now. But their movements and odd beliefs were taken over by the death dealers of Nazi Germany who also latched on to the technological interests for sinister plans (some of those tech programs came to America after the war, see Hitler's Flying Saucers: A Guide to German Flying Discs of the Second World War , Hitler's Suppressed and Still-Secret Weapons, Science and Technology , The SS Brotherhood of the Bell: Nasa's Nazis, JFK, And Majic-12 , etc.). At times an overkill of info, especially when discussing all of the occult connections, this book is nevertheless a must read for those inventors, engineers and theorists looking to harness technology to its true potential. Extremely well-researched book. Both what Keely and Tesla discovered likely explain the UFO's over Hudson Valley and Belgium.
This is a very well-researched book that does a great job of nailing down the true genius that Keely really was. If Keely was a scam artist, like a number of people have claimed, then the author Theo Pajmans could have easily brought out hard core facts in regards to this. That is how well-researched this book is. Also, another question I have for these skeptics is, if Keely was truly a scam artist and his machines never worked, then why haven't there been any books, such as this one, written that bring this point out? I definitely believe that Keely really made some pretty amazing discoveries and the reason why we haven't heard much about anti-gravity and free energy is because the governments of this world aren't willing to share this with the general public for fear of losing money, power, and control. Also, both Keely and Tesla seem to be very logical explanations to the huge metallic boomerang-shaped and triangle-shaped UFOs that have been seen by thousands of eyewitness in both the Hudson Valley and Belgium in recent years. These boomerang and triangle crafts are able to hover without any noise issuing from them and are obviously using some form of anti-gravity technology. So, most likely, it's not the handywork of aliens, but is the utilizing of Keely/Tesla discoveries from the late 1800's into the early 1900's.This book is well worth reading. I highly recommend picking up a copy as soon as possible and read this fascinating account of the brilliant man John Worrell Keely.

Very informative.
This was a gift to myself and a friend. A tremendous amount of research went into this book. I appreciate that the author devoted his time to this.

Free Energy Pioneer: John Worrell Keely
Excellent copy! I read it before and will read it this winter one more time. For people who want to better understand the relationship between science and the occult forces that govern from behind the throne (and NGOs, and foundations, and patents), this is a fascinating read. It's about John Worrell Keely, a 19th century Philadelphia inventor whose work was supported, then blocked, then stolen, just as Tesla's was. Keely was able to run tremendous power from a teaspoon of water, and established a remote wireless connection with his machines. Another remarkable man eliminated from history. When Tesla visited Philadelphia, occult societies prevented him from meeting Keely. This book spurred me to research the sinking of the Titanic in 1913 and the possibility that it was sunk because John Jacob Astor -- one of Keely's supporters and perhaps the inheritor of his research -- was aboard. A Viking death for one of the elite's own.

A good introduction to the mysterious Keely
An extremely thoroughly researched book which gives interesting insights into the Keely phenomenon. Paijmans starts with an examination of the business and legal aspects of the Keely Motor Company then proceeds into a study of the equipment Keely actually made - as far as this can be known from the remnants which have actually survived. He then proceeds to look into esoteric and even occult areas relevant to the Keely phenomenon, ending with a general examination of the many investigations into unknown energies which proceeded in Keely's time. We may think we are in a special age where incredible developments are taking place, but had the now-little-known work of researchers in the Victorian era come to fruition the world might be a very different place.
