I've been looking for a bracelet style watch for a long while and found this one at a reasonable price, ~$300. When opening the case, the first impression is that this is a sorta big watch. I have thin to medium wrists, but after adjusting the links, I find it isn't cartoon-ishly big. The watch face is a wonderful gathering of: military time (inner ring), seconds (outer ring), hours (middle ring), seconds by 5 (outer outer ring, at an angle), and date (bottom, inner). The bezel moves in one direction and seems solid. I doubt that anyone would be using this for diving, but one can use the bezel to count elapsed time.The bracelet is perfect, not too thin and not too thick. The head of the watch is large, but not terribly so. The one drawback of this watch is that it is very heavy--more so than any other watch I've owned before. The clasp that keeps the bracelet closed and secure is typical and sturdy. The watch won't come unbuckled at inopportune times.I was able to remove links in the bracelet on my own, without much fuss; but I'm used to doing that kind of work. If you are intimidated by removing pins and using a tiny hammer to get them back in, take it to a jeweler to have it adjusted.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I find the watch a pleasure to look at and wear.

I have had this watch now for four months. It has taken all sorts of daily abuse in stride and usually stays on my wrist 24 hours a day. The stainless steel case is solid and of beautiful brushed finish with polished accents. I expect it to age gracefully. The sapphire crystal is still without scratches and should stay that way for a long time. When worn it gains 3 or 4 seconds a month, 11 when left in the drawer. The bracelet is solid stainless steel too, without sharp edges to dig into your wrist. The design of the clasp avoids accidental opening. The Arabic numerals are raised and polished to a mirror finish, contributing to the excellent legibility. I like and use the rotatable bezel; for my uses it is often more practical than chronograph hands.There is nothing I really dislike but I would prefer a less cluttered dial without the inner set of numerals from 14 to 22. The date is too small to be read at a glance and I would prefer the austere look of just 3 hands. But these little idiosyncrasies will not reduce my pleasure of wearing this fine timepiece.Jan Hinsch

I was looking for a watch to replace a Wenger Swiss Army watch that after 20+ years needed repair that was going to cost more than I paid for the watch. Decided, after several weeks of searching to buy the Victorinox Swiss Army Maverick. I paid 60% less than retail and was amazed at the quality of the watch. The fit and finish is that of a watch 10 times more in price. The band is comfortable and weighty. The watch itself if weighty. It took some getting use to. I have read complaints about the view-ability of the face. I was not sure what people meant. After receiving the watch I understand. The numbers on the face fade and almost disappear at certain angles. But this is not a big deal. A slight movement of the wrist and the face lights up so to speak. I love the watch. Love the price. It is a very good looking watch and appears to be able to take a beating and keep on ticking.....

The numerals are iridescent and shine in the light, the watch is about a pound and fits really well anad feels great on. It is a heavier watch so be prepared for that. If you like Swiss Army and like to wear a great watch, I would recommend this as long as you like it's style for yourself. I love it. It really looks like a man's watch. There is beauty in simplicity and this watch has that! The dial is almost a charcoal not black, which I think is cool. I love the date function at the bottom 6 o' clock position. Again, if you like Victorinox Swiss Army, this is a great buy. It is water resistant to 100 meters but I would not recommend swimming in it as the warranty does not cover water damage. The warranty is from the seller, not Victorinox Swiss Army and ONLY covers Movement of the watch parts. Best wishes to you as you search for your timepiece!

Was in Las Vegas and found this Victorinox Switch ARmy Mens 241436 Stainless Steel Black Face watch in a Jewelry store. They wanted $400.00 bucks... figured I could buy it online and save some $$$. Ordered from Amazon and had the watch overnighted.. I just couldnt wait. Watch was factory new. Had it sized at a local jewelry store and went home to realize that the hour and minute hands were NOT moving.. but the second has was!!!I was super pissed and thought.. Here We Go.... But to my amazement after calling Amazon, they said NO PROBLEM..we will overnight a replacement and then just return the defective watch with the return label included in the replacement shipment to us within 30 days! Super easy and incredible CUSTOMER SERVICE from Amazon. Couldnt be more happy with the watch. Get comments and compliments all the time. Buy in faith with Amazon. I have purchased 5 different VSA watches, but never had the chance to have a Maverick one, so I considered this was a good opportunity to have one. The watch is ok, not fancy, not eye holding; I think the problem is the hour numbers, they are like polished steel so they reflect the light around the environment.... and sometimes they are completely dark depending on the position of the light. I read a similar comment on the reviews but wanted to take the chance, honestly, the picture does not show the issue (and I think this is an issue) so the watchs looks a little cheap compared with other models, now I regret I haven't bought the chronograph version, as it probably would not have the same issue.

I just received my #241436 watch . Having bought Victorinox products for over 40 years I was very disappointed with the how difficult it is to read the time on it . If its not positioned in certain way in certain light you cannot tell the time .I like the quality of how its made ,the packaging ,the weight and how it feels . Just a little surprised that more thought didn't go into it before it went on the market .
