Quovio 41 problems OR, how Marketing can hide faults of a product.
Ok, I'm not going to waste your time explaining all the good and great things about this bag. I am going to tell you about the not-so-good. Like most people that read reviews, I'm looking for the faults with a product before I make a decision to buy it or not.The NOT-SO-GOOD:Vanguard marketing is very good at hiding the shortcomings of this bag. All of the interior photos show a well filled and ample interior with lots of dividers. Well, after having one and trying to make it work I discovered a couple of glaring problems with the internal parts of the bag.Of the four walls in the interior, only three walls have the loop to receive the hook dividers. That makes for a real problem with creating the spaces, both vertical and horizontal, to house your lenses, camera bodies, etc. I'd like the option to have a full length divider along the long dimension but that is not possible. Believe me, I tried all sorts of ad-hoc divider placements including using dividers from other bags. And that opens the door for the second problem. The supplied dividers are meager at best. They are not fully long enough or high enough to encapsulate a large and tall lens (Sigma 50-150mm or a 150-300mm) by the time you wrap around the lens from one side wall to the other, there is not enough to fully contact the second side wall. Even small lenses (Sigma 18-35mm) are too tight. If you want to build layering with the dividers to lay your camera gear (lenses & flash units) down, there are not enough dividers supplied to build much of anything. The large loop panel in front of the laptop slot is...for what? Why not just put the loop material on the wall of the LT slot? And why did Vanguard decide not to put loop material on the forth (left side) wall is huge!!! There is a huge amount of space in this bag and you cannot utilize it fully with the missing loop material and not enough of the dividers or the right size dividers. I looked at buying dividers or inserts from secondary suppliers, but that cost was too much when considering what was already paid for the Quovio 41.Lastly, the long narrow lid is awkward and in the way when open. It will not lay over out of the way due to the amount of stiffeners built in to it to give the bag strength in the top. The lid is very stiff and when you bend it over out of the way it pops back up at an angle that is right in your left elbow. If you really bend it, I felt like the internal stiffeners would eventually fail and then I'd have a real floppy lid.Great bag otherwise. Just wish the marketing folks hadn't glossed over the shortcoming of the interior scheme. I've done a lot of research and this was my first choice between Tamrac, Tenba, and Lowepro. I'm going with the Lowepro Magnum 650.

Please Buy
I wish I could truly express how happy I am with this bag. While I am by no means a "proffesional" photographer I do actually own a large amount of proffesional gear. This bag is included right along in that category. It's is built of quality material as stated and I know all of my expensive equipment is completely protected. From the small safety features to the attached rain cover to the amazingly high quality zippers this bag has it all and then some. I will never switch to a different backpack after owning this one. I may even consider buying 1 or 2 more of these just incase they are ever discontinued. Make the small investment! It will be well worth the monew after you first fill and strap on this amazing backpack.

Everything where I want it!
Keeps lenses, grip, flash, and four lenses in place and apart with a separate side panel that fits my K3 and 300mm lens. I recently took it down a hiking trail at a state park and also used the tripod carrier. All my gear was nicely protected and when I put the bag down it stayed sitting up due to the flat bottom. It carries nicely and doesn't bump around. It does have some weight to it but I have it packed out to the max with gear. "Where did I put that?" Is not an issue with this bag, everything has a place and nothing can 'lump' up to the bottom. And it has a rain cover tucked in the bottom back which is great because 5 min in Texas and the weather is changing!

Best Bag I have seen
This bag is extremely well made. I like the hard flat base so the case stands upright. I think once the newness wears off, the front zipper flap will open easier and become more flexible. This is great protection for my equipment and I really enjoy the safety of the backpack and sling pack feature. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I recently transported my equipment to a wedding shoot I had to travel to and it nice to be able to have everything in a safe ..
This was exactly what I was needing to carry my two dslr's with lenses and flashes. I recently transported my equipment to a wedding shoot I had to travel to and it nice to be able to have everything in a safe sturdy carrier like this. The fact that it meets carry on standards for air travel was a big factor in my selection.

Four Stars
It will be much better if providing side pockets for small accessories.

Nice Backpack
I really like this bag. I was able to fit everything that I wanted to using the top load function. A Nikon D5100 with battery grip and an 18-105mm lens attached plus a 10-20mm wide angle, 55-300mm telephoto, 50mm prime, 85mm macro and an SB700 flash in the case with lots of room left for filter kits, spare batteries etc.. This is a fairly heavy load and I'm not a big person but it felt comfortable. The shoulder, chest and waist straps work as a team for a good fit. This is a good quality bag for a reasonable price. It was delivered on time too. I would buy from this seller again.
