My primary attraction was the Thinsulate liner based on past purchases/experience. These gloves protect well in below-freezing temps as well as provide good dexterity. To provide context for how they're used, most of my commute is highway and less than 30 minutes. As with most gloves, thicker isn't necessarily warmer. Instead, it's more about adequate protection and good blood circulation. These gloves deliver both along with comfort and dexterity. They also look great. Two small complaints (half star reduction each): 1) Out of the box, there was a small cut on the top side of one of my gloves (picture attached). I would have returned/exchanged them, but the cut was small and I wanted to use them ASAP. 2) The gauntlet-style opening is a bit on the small side. My leather jacket sleeves barely fit inside with some effort.
