I shopped quite a while for a griddle that I could use with both my large gas grill and my charcoal grill...cast iron was certainly in the running...excellent cooking qualities and I really don't mind keeping my cast iron cookware seasoned...however, the extreme weight of a cast iron griddle as large as I wanted made it not an option....regular steel was also an option, but you have to keep those griddles seasoned also or they will rust...so I thought I would hunt for a stainless steel griddle that was large enough yet not so heavy.....after shopping around I found this stainless steel griddle on Amazon and took a chance on it inasmuch as it met all my criteria...the only question was how would it perform.....Well, I can say that this griddle works for me and works well...it is well made (my handles are welded on well) and other than a little slow to come to temperature on my gas grill (takes about 15 minutes here at 8,000 ft. altitude) is a dream to use. With use it does get a little patina in color, however, I love the patina and it makes it look like a professional cooking tool (I could have kept the finish bright like I do our kitchen pans, however, I don't want to do the work and as I said I prefer the patina).On both the gas grill and the charcoal grill the griddle heats evenly with no apparent hot/cool spots and hamburgers and steaks fry up just like a professional restaurant's griddle cooked food with a nice sear on the meat. The usable cooking area is exactly as advertised and the grease trap works well when cooking beef on it (higher fat content)...but, we also cook a lot of grass fed Bison and it is so lean, excess cooked-out grease is never an issue with that meat.Throw a little oil on the heated griddle and on part of it you can cook your meat and on the other part of it you can cook your vegetables. And oh, one more thing, the raised back on the griddle gives you a great stop for your spatula when you are sliding it under your meat to "flip" the meat. Clean-up is easy and no worries about rusting...mine stores all winter under my gas grill with no worries of rusting as our snowy winters often have melting snow on the grill (which also happens to be all stainless steel).Came well packaged by both the manufacture and Amazon in its shipping box (i.e., handles were well protected during shipping)Summary: I love it; great value for the money (someday will probably be passed-on to my kids/grand kids along with my cast iron pans); I can highly recommend this griddle.

heats up very well in short time. i use it on charcoal grill , awsome, and still get a nice grill flavor. my grill grates , dont work when sprayed with oil , chicken kabobs , stick a bit. fish i cant put on the grates, they also stick. veggies, etc. this product took care of that and still leaves that nice grill flavor.

It does what you will use it for. Fits on grill, fits on gas stove, makes cooking fun. Will it clean easy? Probably not, but just squirt some water on it after cooking while its still hot and let the steam do the work. Scrub it off, wipe and put away for next time.

I discovered propane griddles at a vacation rental and decided to put this on top of my propane grill.It works pretty well, except that it sits about 4" above my propane burners, so it's slow to heat up. It works best by initially heating it with my grill hood closed.The heat distribution is very good and even and it's easy to clean up, once you get it to the sink. It's HEAVY, but that's what you expect from a good chunk of iron. You probably don't want use it on a glass-top electric range, duh. I didn't expect to, but for me it's awkward dragging it through the house to clean it properly, with a full grease tray. Keep a grease can near grill.For all that, I still like this griddle, except that the grease tray is too small for larger events. I prefer burgers on the griddle (no flare-ups), but about eight burgers are max before the grease tray overflows. I've done a half-pound of bacon; I don't think I could do a full pound.

Amazing addition to my grill!! Cooked bacon on it today and no mess in the kitchen!!!It if heavy stainless steel and will not break. Very well built. Price is fair too.Eggs also cook great in bacon grease 😀😀

Emails to manufacturer went unanswered/ignored. "Pro" (ha ha) Griddle Grill came in a box with NO INSTRUCTIONS for care or suggestions for use or a warranty. Charcoal Companion website was devoid of any useful information. Unfortunately, the date to return was missed/has passed because of more pressing family matters. I would strongly advise anyone: nDON'T BUY THIS GRILL GRIDDLE.

The web site picture shows the measurement of 10.7W. It’s actual 12”W. I needed a specific size to fit a portable grill. The tray seems to be well made. I would have kept it had it been the size it shows on the web sit.

perfect for what I needed it for. great for onion and mushrooms without stinking up the house. fits the grill nicely.

Ich finde diese Grillplatte(Plancha) einfach toll. Sehr gross, Stabil durch die verstrebungen am Unterboden und Fettrinne. Die lange überlegung ob ich mir eine Gas-Plancha zulege hat sich erübrigt. und diese Platte kann ich für Gas und Kohlegrill nehmen. Multifunktionel!

I'd been looking at the Napoleon Griddle for a while but was scared away by the price until I came across this model which is comparable in size and quality but at almost half the price.Love frying up eggs, bacon or sausage, even veggies outside on the BBQ and not having to worry about heating up the house or grease splattering everywhere
