I had an ICom 5 (I think that was the model) handheld radio and loved it. It got lost during a move and had to replace it. Went with ICom again. This unit is just as good. Solid, well built, good reception and clear transmit. There are a number of accessories you can get and make it into a base unit. Price is very reasonable for this radio. Now for the not so good. Trying to program this radio is frustrating (at least for me) and the instructions are horrible and misleading for certain functions. Had to go on YouTube to get information on how to program certain functions.
