Terrific martial arts
Buy this if you love martial arts action. The acting is good for a martial arts film and the plot's simple, but the martial arts scenes are stunning.Master Z is a spin-off from the Ip Man film series, and it would help if you've watched Ip Man 1. However, you don't need to have watched all the Ip Man films to enjoy Master Z. (In the series' timeline, Master Z takes place after Ip Man 3.)Max Zhang plays the lead character and he's a visual treat to watch in action. Zhang's a former wushu athlete and was a stunt actor in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. His martial arts skills sparkle in Master Z, particularly when fighting Tony Jaa's character. Jaa only has a cameo role, but his Thai martial arts contrast with Zhang's Chinese wushu, and their fight's a treat to watch.While the plot isn't in the same league as Crouching Tiger or Hero, any fan of martial arts action will enjoy Master Z's spectacle.

Nice filler for fans of Ip Man until Ip Man 4: The Finale Comes Out.
For fans of IP Man this is a nice branching from the main story with plenty of action. Simple revenge plot but most of them are but that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable. Well worth getting especially for the price.

Being wanting to watch as well as have this to my collection in knowing the Wing Chun legacy kept going on this fighting art, now that there's another Ip Man film coming soon,looking to add that as completion along with final fight.

Absolutely awesome I wouldn’t put in the same league as Ip Man but the story was great fight scenes are mind blowing and the acting was genius especially Tony Jaa
