Perfect for my use
While I'm not using this for lighting, it's perfect for holding my fone all the way out. Very rigid and easy to adjust. The weight bag seems well made, I just have some lead ingots in it for counter balance. It didn't come with an adapter for 1/4-20 to mount to a tripod but after looking at the description, the tripod it goes on would fit right in, so I made an adapter. This setup will be perfect for overhead product shots and videos.

Firm
I can't really find a negative thing to say. The rod (and extensions) feel durable and firm in material. The bag itself is well stitched and the materials-even the hook, is a well constructed. What stands out in comparison to another boom extension I have is the rubber gaskets between the extensions. Its a simple design and feature, but adds the smallest detail for impact resistance and when the tensions knobs would other wise hit against another when collapsed. I also love that the thread at the tip has a screw for easy replacing or removing when needed. Other tips are crimped (I don't know the real word here) and not replaceable if damaged. The loop at the end also feels well secured.

How about some instructions?
I don't understand why some of the review cite poor quality and flimsy build. It seems nicely made and sturdy to me. Though I'm not an expert. Which brings me to my point - why did you send me a product with multiple moving parts, some of them interchangeable, and not provide instructions? Seems like a huge oversight to me. I'm sure I can figure it out eventually, but why not make it easier? Here's an idea. Since you make camera equipment, I'm sure you can find someone to make videos on how to use your equipment. I know, there are already Youtube users doing this, but wouldn't it be better coming from LINCO, who knows how their product is supposed to work? All you would have to do is provide that link with your product.

Good Value!
This boom arm is a very good value. If you need something sturdier then you should be looking at c-stands or other heavier-duty stands for professional daily use. But for occasional use with light weight COB lights this boom arm works quite well. The counterweight is actually a pretty good idea. You can just put in a bottle of water or a couple of rocks if you're outdoors to give the boom a little counterweight. Make sure to use it on a light stand that is large enough to not fall over with an extended boom on it. A sand bag on the stand is also a good idea for safety.

Great add on
I already have a light stand that can either be 13' or about 8' with a boom arm. I needed taller with a boom arm so this add on boom arm works great.

Works great!
I have a set of Linco lights that I purchased a few years ago. Since I needed another boom arm, I thought it might be good to purchase a Linco arm. It works exactly as advertised. Very sturdy. Good purchase.

This boom arm was pretty light but broke after having it for 2 months, You get what you pay for.

Useless to have
Doesn't not hold a basic soft box and speed light there is no stability on the front as far as holding it without spinning
