Korg GA1 Guitar and Bass Tuner

Great compact tuner. The Korg shipped with batteries and worked great right out of the box. Allows user to tune electric or acoustic guitars, by either 1/4" input cable or via the built in microphone. And since I own and play both, my purchase worked out great. It also has a built sound emulator, which allows you to tune by ear. So, forget buying an expensive tuner! This little sucker tunes perfect every time. Thanks Korg for designing such an inexpensive and user friendly product. And of course thanks to Amazon for selling. I love it and highly recommend it.

This is such a great bargain! It works great with an electronic arrow which indicates a string is in tune when it comes to the middle of the screen as you play each string to tune the guitar. I have tried several different kinds of tuners, others that were much more expensive that did not perform as well as this one does. It is so compact you can carry it in a pocket or in your gig bag middle compartment. I got one for my husband and niece as well when they got guitars. I highly recommend it!

Yeah, there are tuners with more bells and whistles and true bypass and even noise gates, and those are hot. I have one. But for a tuner, and pretty much just a tuner, this is a sweet deal. You can do bass or guitar with it. It sounds out your each note if you'd like via the small speaker on the right of it. And it's highly workable and serviceable. Can it do true bypass and noise gate? No... but the price also doesn't call for it to do so. Want a cheap tuner that'll get the job done? Buy it. A tuning is a tuning and it does tuning.

This is a decent cheap tuner. I have a "nice" rack tuner that is a pain. If you need to be able to tune on stage, a fancy rack tuner is fine. If you work on instruments, or if you just play in your living room, then one of these is far more handy and more than adequate to get your instrument tuned and set up. One of the pleasant surprises of this tuner is that I can use the microphone to tune basses down to the E string (the B is problematic) without plugging in. Very convenient! I went ahead and bought a second one for the shop.

Very nice tuner if you don't want to spend a lot of money. I used to use an app on my phone to tune my guitars for a very long time, but it's too noisy at band practice to do that anymore. This tuner has a plug in for an instrument cable, so you can tune it that way, especially if you're playing in a club/bar where it's very noisy. One thing I love about this tuner is that you are able to flat the notes, which is great because I often play in Eb standard, or Drop C#. It also comes in handy when you need to intonate your guitar, because this tuner ACTUALLY picks up the right notes when you intonate it at the twelfth fret. Just that alone makes it worthy of five stars.

Cheap but high quality! Works well equally with acoustic and electric. Never tried in a high noise environment but it tunes my guitars easily. On the acoustic, I just place it near the soundhole in the guitar. Not too close but within a foot or so. Then within a minute, every string is in tune. On the electric, connect it in-line between the guitar and the amp.It will be in-tune in no time! Comes with "heavy duty" AAA batteries that won't last long and are usually not sealed that well . So I replace them with high quality alkaline or lithium batteries soon after first use. If new to the guitar or your ears are failing like mine, you need this little jewel!

It does what it says it does. But I never ended up using it, because these features are in smaller packages these days and the plug-in-style of tuner is going out of fashion (clip on seems to just work so much faster). But no fault to this thing itself. 3 stars.

I had previously written a review stating that the thing was awful, but as it turned out I was using the darn thing wrong! Yeah, I'm an idiot. It's actually 100% accurate & easy once you know what you're doing! Once someone taught me I knew exactly what to do. If it doesn't work for you---you're using it incorrectly! Ask for help. PROS & CONS PROS: Very accurate. Batteries last forever. Picks up sound easily. Durable. Had it for 4 years & it's still kickin' ass! CONS: NONE! Buy it!

Been using it for two years to tune my bass. Flawless. Can be used with the patch cord or open-air, so it's very convenient. Also capable of flat-tuning.

Etant un guitariste débutant, il était très difficile pour moi d'accorder à l'oreille ma guitare, Puis, j'ai commandé ce joujou, de très bonne qualité et très simple d'utilisation, en moins de 10mns j'ai pu accorder ma guitare facilement, de plus, sa simplicité et sa taille permette de l'enmener partout, et grâce à lui, mes accords s'entendent énormement plus ! je recommande!!

I was recommended a Korg tuner by my sons guitar tutor and the online tutorial course at justinguitars.com. This gadget is amazing making it so easy to tune acoustic or electric guitars it really is a no-brainer at this price. Play the note on the guitar and the LEDs and screen show you if you have to tighten or loosen the string. When the note is spot on a green LED illuminates to show it is in tune. Simple. It has a built in microphone to listen to the note played or electric guitars can plug in the side. Your guitar will never be out of tune again.

Lo utilizo con un bajo eléctrico de 4 cuerdas. Cumple su función a la perfección. El único detalle ocurre cuando bajo la cuarta cuerda de E a D, en esa sentido no capta esa frecuencia tan baja. Pero para afinación estándar es excelente.
