Great strings
Guitars strings are different one to another for sureI have used them before many years ago so decided I wanted a different soundThese strings are bright but not so they sound tinkyI play metal and heavy rock music rhythm and lead and I love the way these hold sustain rings as well dig deeper tones tooI got another set on order different gauge of for my other guitarThe way to find out how you want your guitar to sound is just give a couple brands a shot usually you will like one brand better than the otherLater on try a few more brandsAmplifier settings can also make your guitar strings sounds better tooYou’ll just have to tweak around with things until you find sounds to your likingDon’t listen to someone else if you like the way they play and sound then love otherwise keep lookingI do recommend this brand as they have many of variety to choose from here

These are good enough for Joe Satriani
I love the value of these large packs of strings. And if the .010's are by this company are good enough for Joe Satriani? Then yeah, they are probably good enough for you. I used to use GHS boomers. Glad I made the switch. I used to break strings like crazy with the boomers. These last so long I have to remember to change them because the sound is getting dull or the black oxidation is showing up on my hands. I know these are not the fanciest strings or most expensive you can buy. But they sure do play and sound like they are fancy and expensive.

Consistently good
I've been using D'Addario strings for years. I try other brands, but always return to D'Addario. They last a long time and sound the best to my ears.

I'm surprised how well these strings stay in tune
I was surprised how well these strings stayed in tune when I first put them on. I can't speak to their longevity since I've only had them on the instrument for a couple weeks. I can bend them and they don't go out of tune very much. I think if you really want to bend strings, get a lighter set; these are a good compromise if you don't do a lot of bending. I think the tone is good - not too bright.

Have purchased 2xs now
These works nice and are great quality! My son plays guitar often and really enjoys these strings. When he gets a new guitar he always switches them out to these.

I Love D'Addario Strings
The media could not be loaded. I really love D'Addario string and have used them for over 20 years :)I play a lot of faster Rock/Metal style riffs and find the strings glide well and don't tear up my fingers. They last well but obviously you should be wiping down your strings after you have used them and human sweat does differ, some people just go through strings faster than others.I hope the video really gives you a good idea of the sound they can produce and how they can work with a clean tone or a more distorted one. I really think that if you use other brands you should give these ones a try, I truely believe that you will prefer D'Addario to your current strings.PS. I'm pronoucing the name correctly!! :)

Hexed and not so bright!
These strings sound awful!, very twangy and the cheap hexcore design is very painful under the fingertips, you can really feel the discomfort if you just do a few slides up and down the fretboard and then do some slides with some roundcore strings, it feels as though you were going over speed bumps!.I put some D'Addario's against some round core Pyramid Nickel Classic strings (same gauge) for a comparison test on my guitar as I am still learning and trying to find what I like, and the difference is night and day!, the German made Pyramid strings are much more smoother and vibrantly fuller against the more twangy and out of tune sounding D'Addario's.Anyways you get what you pay for, and it's all down to personal preference at the end of the day, but if you are a beginner than chances are that you have been using hexcore all this time, my personal advice would be to switch to round core strings straight away (D'Addario also do roundcore's I think) and see the difference in speed and comfort!, buy some better constructed strings, it doesn't pay to be cheap in this regard as I have painfully learned ='(

i like these a lot
Guitar strings are one of the most important parts of a guitar, and there are many different types to choose from. They come in different materials, sizes, and gauges, and each type has its own unique sound and feel. There are three main types of guitar strings: nylon, steel, and gut. Nylon strings are the most popular type for acoustic guitars, and they're also used on some electric guitars. They're made from a synthetic material, so they're less likely to break than other types of strings. Steel strings are the most common type of string for electric guitars, and they're also used on some acoustic guitars. They're made from a metal alloy, so they're very strong and durable. Gut strings were once the most popular type of string for acoustic guitars, but they're not as popular now because they're made from animal intestine, which can break easily. No matter what type of guitar you have, there's a type of string that's right for it. If you're not sure which type of string to get, ask your guitar teacher or a guitar store employee for help.

Life long User Of Ernie Balls...But No Going Back Now
Could get a set of Ernie Ball .009s for love nor money (curse you all, Lockdown Guitar Learners!!!), so picked these up for what I thought would be a stopgap. Initially hated the lack of the strings being in their own individual envelope which I have become accustomed to, but once I saw and learned the ball-end colour coding system it was a doddle.I think these strings somewhat hold the tune a little longer than the Ernie Balls, and have a more pleasant ring across the non-wound G B and E strings, but I'm no master musician so don't take my word as gospel. Many guitarists are hard to embrace new things as we find a groove and stick to it, but via this happy accident I may well have to re-evaluate other aspects of my set-up!
