Good quality board.
The board works without single problem. It looks like Arduino Uno first revision (someone wrote it is not R3) but works for me (Android DRO project by Yuriy). Only small issue is the pin distance between pin banks on Digital ports (distance between pin D7 and D8 is not uniform. It may be same with original Arduino Uno boards too - I don't know but this is the only dislike I have. For what it's worth it saved me few bucks over Arduino serving my needs. As for the quality of soldering all looks very good. Some "cheap boards" could have bad soldering here and there, but it is not the case with SainSmart UNO board. All it makes me happy customer.

Good unit at a great price
I love arduino's. The sainsmart unit was my second one. I have found that it does 99% of the things the authentic Arduino can do at only 75% of the price. I have a few shields that don't want to work with the Sainsmart but most work fine. Also, if I am building my own circuit, it has worked flawlessly. Still can't pinpoint why some shields don't like it and what they don't like about it but I suspect that I will buy one more Arduino for the shields that don't work with it and the rest will be SainSmart.

Beware your buying an R1 if you were expecting the latest/greatest UNO!
I wasn't even aware that there is an Arduino UNO R3 until I went looking for the pin headers for SDA/SCL, was just expecting the latest/greatest UNO when I made the purchase.I can't believe there are all these raving reviews, and nobody bothered to mention this is a R1, or maybe I missed it, and of course it isn't in the title or description. Minor changes, but not expected. If they are going to make cheap knockoffs, at least use the latest revision! For this board, the SDA/SCL are shared with A4/A5 like the classic.Good give-away board if it fits your application.

Be Careful with Shields
I like it. It is less expensive and ran my test programs with out modification. Be wary regarding shield applications because the pin out I received is not exactly the same. The power pinout plugs next to the Analog inputs (towards the middle of the card by the processor) are only six wide instead of the 8 on an actual Arduino. This is probably not a big deal for most applications but the empty space was filled by other components so the Seeed SD shield could not be mounted on the card. I will keep the card for other purposes.

Quality at a great price
I've bought quite a few SainSmart products for various Ardduino projects and have always been very happy with them. This one is no exception...documentation is readily available, works with both existing and custom code, and performs exactly as it should. I would have absolutely no qualms about buying more of these units for future projects.

Good for what it is
I ended up replacing this with the Mega2560 version. There is nothing wrong with the unit if the specs fit what you are looking for. I just needed more pins/pin availability with shields.Make sure you look at the specs, if all you need is this get it. If you might need more, I recommend looking at the Mega.Arduino's are a great product and have plenty of available examples to go off of.The software is cross platform and can even be kept on a usb stick (make sure you point the user directories to the stick as well). The usage functions for these has little limitations (security, monitoring, access control, moving/playing toys, solar efficiency controls, and on and on).

Sainsmart Board DOA ATmega chip works
I've ordered non-italy-made arduinos before and never had an issue. The sainsmart board itself on this arduino was DOA, i swapped the atmega chip to a different arduino and the chip works fine, but the board isn't even acknowledged by windows when plugged in(it doesn't show up in device manager or make a sound when plugged in.). I wouldn't buy from sainsmart again because of this, it's not worth going through the trouble of returning.

cheap
This is a Chinese knock off. If I had known this, would have spent a few more dollars to get the real thing. It is cheaply made and feels like it will fall apart. And now half of my usb ports no longer work. Spend the extra money for the real Italian board.
