Pentek 1" Threaded 20" Genuine Big Blue Filter Housing Kit | Complete with Bracket, Screws and Wrench (150233 150061 144368)

Been installed for a few months now and have had no issues. Changed the filter and screwed it back in and there are no leaks. Mounted nicely on the wall with the included mount.

I had two of these installed as part of a whole-house system, and the plumber remarked on how good the quality was.

It is a replacement for one that is about 18 years ol. Will install Sat.I use a filter that takes out about 20 % of the dissolved solids in our city water.Appliances last longer without calcium buildup.

The first one I received had a broken tab inside the lid making it hard to seal. Amazon swapped it out (easy peasy). the instruction say to hand tighten, but it leaked. I added a little more silicone grease, tightened the can until it touched the seal, then 1/4 turn with the included wrench seemed to do the trick. Also, use plenty of PTFE tape on the inlet/outlet connectors or those suckers will leak for sure.

I'm a professional installer of water catchment systems and i install a lot of filtersI tried these out because they are name brand and seemed good price but of the two I ordered one was missing its o-ring ( it should have been built with two anyway) and part of the black plastic receiver piece on the top was also broken and this was not a rebuilt unit it was supposed to be new from the factoryIt sat in my shop for a couple weeks before my install and now it is 10 days too late to return itDo yourself a favor and get the Geek Parts brand unit instead of this one which is better in almost every way including brass receiver threads
