DreamfarmClongs Grippy Silicone & Stainless Steel Kitchen Cooking Tongs with Click-Lock Open & Close - 12" Black

This is replacement for same product. Use everyday and love these, best cooking tongs I have used, but knocked star off for longevity. These "click-open, click-closed" tongs great for one-hand operation, but after a couple years of use, would not lock closed anymore--may have been due to mis-use by others who don't know how to operate them properly, so have included a training course for other household members for this item. Expensive, but if they last this time, well worth the price.Update 01/03/17: This pair also fails to lock closed properly, after only a few weeks use--NO mis-use for sure this time. Can make lock by pulling slightly on the locking mechanism, but that defeats the one-hand operation which was so convenient. Dropped from 4 to 3 stars.Update 07/08/17: Received an unsolicited email from manufacturer indicating they had modified manufacturing process to remedy the push-button locking mechanism problems noted, and wanted to offer updated replacement--noted other buyers had made similar comments and received similar offers of replacement. Dreamfarm sent replacement clongs about a month ago and have had in daily use since--OPERATING PERFECTLY, with no indication of failure of mechanism that locks clongs closed. Locking is now fully positive/reliable with push-to-lock-closed action. Back from 3 to 4 stars for design and operation, plus another for Dreamfarms proactive customer service. Thank you--wish more vendors took their product quality this seriously.

This was a Mothers Day Present and it was perfect. My Mom cooks a lot and has all the tools necessary for any kind of cooking, but she didn't' have THIS. The unique design makes it easy to use and it can be set anywhere. She is now using it all the time and has thought about getting one or two more just to have when she is cooking several dishes. Glad I saw this and was able to get it for her. When it comes to cooking, she is surprised by much, but this utensil definitely caught her off guard in a good way.

The media could not be loaded.  The one click lock doesn't work most of the time. See video.*Edit* returned it. Absolute mess. Doesn't work as described. Won't stay open or closed. It has no idea what you want. The button is abritary. It does nothing. Don't buy.

Other tongs I've had would be nice for a salad, but I don't need silicone covers for that. Any old tongs would do. These, with the silicone covers and sturdy foundation aren't going to bend and break with simple cooking use in my non stick cookware. Nice size and easy to use. I'd recommend them to anyone

The wiggle-shape that prevents the tips from touching the counter and the push-button lock/unlock make for a brilliantly useful design. Highly recommend these. Only thing I'd change is the length. They're a bit short when you're working with hot food/pans.

Will be buying other tools in this brand. The thoughtful design of this brands tools is what your kitchen is missing. A set of kitchen tools will be my go to gift for brides. (You know they register for stuff they will NEVER use). These tools will be used daily!!

I’ve tried every tong out there and these are by far my favorite. They are a bit pricier BUT they are well made and last much longer. I have the silicone tip version in both the long and short tongs. Highly recommend!

I didn’t realise how much I need needed these until we got them!Surprised to see other reviews not all 5 stars.We bought this for our new house and it’s a compliment to cooking in the kitchen

Loved the clong, bought them as a present and they were well received. The bent in the handles makes them stay level when not in use, thus preventing the grabbing parts touch surfaces and stain at the same time. Well made, sturdy, definitely not a cheap imitation

These are ace, really useful when cooking. Great quality, would definitely buy again.

Dreamfarm's garlic press is great so I thought I would invest in their tong's but not worth the extra money. Unfortunately the click open click close mechanism on the hinge does not work so they either do not open fully when you need them or do not close fully when you want to put them away.

Since the first use I have always had to pull the end of the push button for the clongs to stay locked closed. Must have got a dodgy mechanism unless they’re meant to be like that!
