I have to admit I was a little nervous about this product, but I purchased it and have installed it in our fountain to replace a different brand auto filler that froze. It has worked perfectly since I put it in.

I had bought this 4 years ago for a fountain and finally the plastic parts cracked in the heat and started leaking. Then bought another one of these to replace. The new one leaked from day one. Even with the arm fully floated to the max, a trickle of water kept going. No adjustments helped. Waste of time to install and uninstall and return. Now I’ve bought a brass fitting one that is slightly more expensive but that hopefully will last much longer.

Great small device, perfect for a tiny stream/pond, fit in a 3 gal bucket to keep my stream full and maintenance free!

I purchased for a fountain, turned it on and left. I checked later and the fountain was overflowing and the white float was underwater. I turned off the water at the source and let it evaporate down to the level in the picture. When it was the right level, I turned it back on and it worked for a few days ... until it didn't, and was overflowing again.Bottom line for me, the valve is poorly made. I'll have to replace it with something else.
