Hand Grip Quick Release Metal Base Plate for Sony A7M2 A7II A7RII A7R2 with 1/4" Screw and Hex Wrench Black

I appreciate the small form factor of my Sony Alpha, so I sought a piece to marginally extend the grip and form of the camera. I did not want the size of a battery grip, so I bought this unit. I have large hands, and I can now grip the camera with an additional finger, adding to grip security and feel. The camera now feels a little more balanced with the slight weight increase of this aluminum frame. Fits nice, and feels very sturdy - with no play in the fitment.The only thing that might make this baseplate better would be a rubber seal to pad the junction between plate and camera, but I am overall very happy with this inexpensive addition to the camera. And now I can attach the camera directly to a tripod.

Not many A7SII stuff out there. Great body. Basically A7II. Needed a base for this camera, use quite a bit. Fits quite well. No regrets. Wish was tool less swap but no big deal

Excellent quality product that functions perfectly. Fits my Sony A7 ii perfectly.Allows quick access to battery and works perfectly with Arca Products.

For the price, this is a great little bottom plate for an a7Rii. It fits well, allows the battery door to open, and gives my camera a permanent arca plate. When I shoot, my pinky hangs off the bottom, so this gives me a better place to put it and a little better grip on the camera. My only niggle is that it's a little too short (would like to see it a couple mm taller) and it doesn't contour the inside of the grip perfectly (although, I can see why when looking at the bottom battery door area). Overall, great for the $25 I spent.

Works as advertised to always have Arca tripod mount attached, and it does give you a place to put your smallest finger. Battery door is unaffected.

Wish it was grippy, sanded and sprayed with bed liner.

Perfect addition to my Sony A7R3 when I’m not using the battery grip. This base plate extended the height of the camera just enough to provide a place to place my pinky. The one thing that I wished from the manufacturer is the have a larger opening so I don’t need to remove the plate in order to swap the battery. Other than that, this is a perfect base plate w/ reasonable price.
