Couldn't you just say that it is less than a half of an inch and therefor not really thick at all?** A: 2/5" (0.4") is 10.16mm. Most mats are 1/4" which is 6mm. It is easier to compare mat thickness in millimeters than in fractions of an inch. So, this mat is a lot thicker and will give more cushion. **Q: Do you know how long it takes to offgas?
