I don't know what you are wanting to use it for as primarily but it some what a large knife as it measures 9 inches overall opened. The questions on Amazon have some wrong answers. It has a single bevel edge on a stamped, somewhat concaved blade. Marked “stainless steel “. May not be sk5. Has a back lock. The blade sharpens nicely and with the single bevel edge and works great for slicing the grafts on the black pine that I grafted. Time will tell if they take. Basically it is a utility knife.
